Vampire Survivors version 1.7 does not have a specific release date yet, but it is expected to be globally available in a few weeks according to the game's social media channels. To introduce version 1.7, Vampire Survivors released a 52-second video showcasing the Chilling Update. The video briefly highlights the new Whiteout map, along with flying skulls, ice monsters, and armies of snowmen wearing top hats that players can defeat using fiery weapons and magic. A new weapon called the Glass Fandango is also featured, which may add an interesting element to the available weapon combinations in Vampire Survivors.

In addition to the standard Whiteout level, players who collect 20 Orologians will gain access to the Hyper Whiteout level. Furthermore, players who survive for 20 minutes in the Whiteout level will unlock a new playable character named She-Moon in Vampire Survivors. She-Moon is a blue-colored character who is likely equipped with an icy weapon and other unique abilities. The difficulty level of the Whiteout stage compared to previous stages is yet to be determined, but the 1.7 update of Vampire Survivors will be free for all players.
