Castlevania: Nocturne is a spin-off of Netflix's original animated series, Castlevania, which concluded its four-season run in 2021. The new series follows the story of Richter Belmont, a beloved character among hardcore Castlevania fans and a key figure in multiple Castlevania games. Premiering on Thursday, September 28th, the series showcases the adventures of Richter Belmont as he battles against an alliance between the counter-revolutionary aristocracy and a terrifying Vampire Messiah. This alliance aims to build an army of vampires and other creatures of the night to destroy the revolution and enslave humanity. To combat this threat, Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, the last remaining descendant of the renowned family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
Richter is seen wearing his iconic blue attire, which includes both the Symphony of the Night outfit designed by Ayima Kojima and the shonen anime appearance created by Kouji Yamada, Toshiharu Furukawa, and Reika Bando for Rondo of Blood, Richter's debut game. Remaining true to the Castlevania tradition, the trailer delivers high-octane action and copious amounts of blood, delighting fans.
Netflix has a special treat in store for eager Castlevania fans with an exclusive early screening of Castlevania: Nocturne. The virtual showcase, DROP 01, will take place on September 27, offering exciting surprises and never-before-seen sneak peeks.
