In Genshin Impact's 3.0 expansion, players were introduced to the nation of Wisdom, Sumeru. Alongside this new region, a fishing association was established, offering various rewards for dedicated fishermen. One of the coveted rewards from the Sumeru Fishing Association is the "End of the Line," a 4-star bow. Players also have the opportunity to acquire the necessary materials to refine the bow to its maximum potential, R5. Obtaining this weapon and all its refinement materials is equivalent to pulling the weapon five times in the gacha. In the following sections, we will discuss the bow's effects, highlight characters who can effectively utilize it, and provide insights on how to obtain it.

The "End of the Line" bow appears to be a bow literally made by tying a bowstring to a fish. However, that doesn't mean it isn't powerful.
Here are the specs:

When using an elemental skill, the weapon's passive ability, known as "Net Snapper," applies a stack called "Flowrider." This stack deals AoE DMG equal to 160% of the user's ATK when hitting an opponent with an attack. The "Flowrider" stack will be removed after causing 3 instances of AoE DMG or after 15 seconds, whichever occurs first. The instances of AoE DMG can occur every 2 seconds, and the "Flowrider" passive can be triggered once every 12 seconds.
End of the Line Requirements
This bow, though not the most powerful weapon in the game, possesses the potential to greatly benefit numerous characters, such as Yoimiya, Tartaglia, Fischl, and those who utilize bows and rely on their elemental skills for consistent damage output and require a substantial amount of energy recharge.
In order to acquire the End of the Line bow, players are required to exchange a certain amount of fish with the Sumeru Fishing Association, which is managed by Loumelat near Port Ormos. Moreover, Loumelat offers the Original Fish Ointment, a crucial material for enhancing and strengthening the bow. It is possible to purchase up to four units of this ointment, allowing the bow to be refined up to R5.
The bow itself requires the following:
4x Peach of the Deep Waves
16x Lazurite Axe Marlin
16x Halcyon Jade Axe Marlin
Each copy of Original Fish Ointment costs the following:
2x Peach of the Deep Waves
8x Lazurite Axe Marlin

This means that, in total, to obtain End of the Line and completely refine it to R5, it'll cost:
12x Peach of the Deep Wave

Peach of the Deep Waves Location
The first fish needed to acquire the "End of the Line" bow is the Zaytun Peach-colored fish, known as the Peach of the Deep Waves. It is the most challenging fish to find among the required ones, but fortunately, players only need a small quantity of it. This particular fish can only be found in a single location throughout Sumeru, and it will only appear between 6:00 and 18:00 in-game time.
To catch this fish, players must use the Sugardew Bait (refer to the Sumeru Fishing Association section if you don't have the recipe). It is unlikely that players will catch all 12 required fish in a single day, so remember to return daily (after the daily reset) to obtain 12 fish. Venture to the specified location in Mawtiyima Forest, as shown in the image, where a fishing pool is located on a sizable patch of foliage. This is the sole area where these fish can be found.
Lazurite Axe Marlin and Halcyon Jade Axe Marlin Locations
To obtain the bow and its refinements, players need to catch two Axe Marlin variants in Sumeru. These fish can be found at every fishing spot in Sumeru, including the same spot where players caught the Peach of the Deep Waves fish (going there outside the mentioned time frame increases the chances of Axe Marlins appearing instead of Peach of the Deep Waves).
Like the previous fish, Axe Marlins also require the Sugardew Bait for catching them, but the advantage is that they can appear at any time in the game.
How to Unlock Fishing in Genshin Impact
In most Sumeru fishing spots, both Lazurite Axe Marlin fish and Halcyon Jade Axe Marlin fish can be found. However, if a player is specifically looking for one of these fish, there are a few exclusive spots for each. The Lazurite Axe Marlin fish can be found without the Halcyon Jades at the pier of Sumeru City and the large pond southwest of the Dendro Hypostasis boss fight. On the other hand, the Halcyon Jade Axe Marlin fish can be found without the Lazurites at Devantaka Mountain, directly west of the Aeonblight Drake boss fight, and in Aaru Village.
Sumeru can be accessed by new players right after they finish the first act, "The Outlander Who Caught the Wind," of the Monstadt Archon Quest Prologue. Despite being the fourth region introduced in the game.
However, despite the region being easily accessible, fishing requires unlocking the Serenitea Pot system first. This task can only be achieved after completing the first chapter of the Liyue Archon Quest. Once the required chapter is finished, a quest titled "A Teapot to Call Home: Part I" will become available, granting access to the "Serenitea Pot" system. After unlocking the Serenitea Pot, players should return to Mondstadt and speak with Katheryne to initiate the "Exploding Population" quest, which will ultimately unlock fishing. Once all these steps are completed, players can venture to Sumeru and commence the fish-catching process necessary to unlock and enhance this complimentary weapon.
How to Find the Sumeru Fishing Association and Make Sugardew Bait
To start the quest for the "End of the Line" bow, players should head towards Port Ormos in the Ardravi Valley, located south of Sumeru City. They need to follow the path leading north until they encounter an NPC named Loumelat, easily identified by the fishing association icon above her head. Trading basic Medaka fish with Loumelat will provide players with the crafting blueprint for the Sugardew Bait. This bait is crucial for catching all the fish required for the "End of the Line" bow and its refinements.
To create the bait, players will require 1 Harra Fruit and 1 Sumeru Rose for every 10 Sugardew Bait crafted. As a result, players should ensure they have enough resources to craft the necessary bait (a minimum of 108 bait, assuming all fish are successfully caught).
Bonus suggestion: Should players possess an excess of Medaka fish, exchanging an additional three of them for the Fishing Line Stabilizer gadget will enhance the efficiency and save time during the remaining steps.
