Unleash Mayhem in Bulletstorm's VR Release

Incuvo's new virtual reality game, Bulletstorm VR, has been officially announced The developer behind successful VR titles like Green Hell VR, Layers of Fear VR, and Blair Witch VR is set to deliver an exciting new experience for VR gamers

Bulletstorm VR is set to make a comeback after more than a decade since its initial release. Incuvo, the developer, has announced that the game will be available on both Meta Quest VR devices and PlayStation VR2. The first-person shooter, which was originally developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games, was known for its unique mix of absurd humor, over-the-top weapons, and gore. Despite its popularity, the game's sales fell short, and a sequel was never made. However, the release of Bulletstorm VR is expected to revive the franchise and give it the second chance it deserves.

Bulletstorm VR is set to launch in 2023 and is a joint venture between People Can Fly and VR game developer Incuvo. Incuvo is known for its expertise in adapting games for VR, having previously worked on titles such as Green Hell VR, Layers of Fear VR, and Blair Witch Oculus Quest Edition. The upcoming release of Bulletstorm VR is the latest example of this. The game will be available on PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro.

The game's protagonist, Grayson Hunt, returns in Bulletstorm VR, where he finds himself stranded on the abandoned resort planet of Stygia. Hunt must fight for survival while continuing his quest for revenge. The game's setting features a diverse mix of urban skyscrapers and lush wilderness, and enemies range from brutal mercenaries to gargantuan creatures with insatiable appetites. Fortunately, Hunt has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, capable of taking on all foes, big and small.

In the virtual reality version of Bulletstorm, players will have the opportunity to utilize the Energy Leash mechanic in new and innovative ways. With the use of motion controls, players can easily pull and tug enemies and environmental objects, as well as control the trajectory of bullets in slow motion. The game's combination of unique combat abilities and creative weapons make it an ideal candidate for the immersive experience of virtual reality. While it is uncertain how much of the original game will be incorporated into Bulletstorm VR, it would be strange to have a version without the off-beat humor that made the original game so memorable. It is possible that the VR game will focus on the chaotic first-person gameplay while leaving the humor behind.

Bulletstorm VR releases in 2023 on PS VR2 and Meta VR devices.
