Rascal Does Not Dream is a Japanese light novel series by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Kēji Mizoguchi, first published in April 2014. There are currently thirteen volumes of the series published by ASCII Media Works. The light novel series was later adapted into an anime by CloverWorks, followed by three movies.

Additionally, the social media account announced that a special promotional video for the upcoming anime was being shown in theaters following the release of the film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid in Japan on Friday, December 1, 2023.

What is Rascal Does Not Dream series about?

The series by Hajime Kamoshida and Kēji Mizoguchi centers on Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student whose encounter with teenage actress Mai Sakurajima leads to a series of intriguing events. Their first meeting occurs when he spots her wearing a bunny girl outfit in a library, and to his surprise, he's the only one who can see her.
