Getting their own wax figure is a significant achievement for any celebrity, but sometimes the outcome falls short of expectations. In the case of Dwayne Johnson, it was his Parisian wax statue that created a stir in 2023. However, even before that, Kim Kardashian had already received her first statue from Madame Tussauds back in 2010. The renowned reality star was present at the unveiling and took the opportunity to strike a pose next to her wax likeness.
"It's strange! She looks more beautiful than me. It's so strange, like, every detail, including my arms and hands... it's all so identical that it's weird to see myself," she told MTV News. "Now I can truly see from someone else's perspective. It's strange."
Although Kardashian appeared satisfied with her physique, Kris Jenner, her mother, pointed out that it wasn't an exact copy of her daughter.
During an interview with Access Hollywood at the first unveiling, Jenner playfully commented to her daughter, "Your buttocks could use a bit more volume - they're larger than depicted here!"

Celebrity Wax Figures That Went Horribly Wrong
It is a great honor for a celebrity to get their own wax figure — but sometimes the artwork doesn’t meet expectations.
Before Dwayne Johnson's wax statue in Paris gained attention in 2023, Kim Kardashian received her inaugural statue from Madame Tussauds in 2010. With great strangeness, the reality star graced the unveiling ceremony and posed beside her lifelike replica.
"It's bizarre! She appears more attractive than me. It's incredibly strange, like, my arms and hands... every detail is so precise that it feels peculiar to witness oneself," she shared with MTV News back then. "Now, I can truly perceive from an external perspective. It's odd."
During an interview with Access Hollywood at the initial unveiling, Kardashian appeared content with her figure. Nonetheless, her mother, Kris Jenner, pointed out that it wasn't an exact duplicate of her daughter. Jenner playfully commented on the size of Kardashian's buttocks, suggesting that they should be slightly larger.

Dwayne Johnson
Johnson’s statue for Musée Grévin grabbed headlines in October 2023 when fans noticed that the statue’s skin tone did not accurately depict the actor, who is of Samoan descent. Taking note of this discrepancy, Johnson promptly contacted the museum to address the issue and proposed updating the figure's complexion. In response, Musée Grévin acknowledged their mistake and expressed a commitment to rectify it, emphasizing their ongoing efforts to enhance the statue.

This immersive encounter featured talented actors portraying the beloved royal duo. Notably, the lookalikes were even spotted in London weeks later, showcasing their uncanny resemblance while wearing wax heads. They skillfully emulated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, indulging in a delightful wine tasting experience and taking leisurely strolls around the vibrant city with her loyal Beagle companion, Guy.
