Experiencing the joy of siblinghood. Throughout the years, celebrity parents have shown us the undeniable cuteness of children being introduced to their new baby siblings.
In the month of April 2022, Andy Cohen welcomed his daughter Lucy into the world. To capture this heartwarming moment, the Bravo executive shared an endearing photograph of his eldest child, Ben, planting a tender kiss on his new sister's cheek. Cohen expressed this beautiful encounter by captioning the image on Instagram: "When Ben met Lucy ️."
The author of The Superficial welcomed Ben through a surrogate in February 2019. Later, he jokingly shared with We magazine that he would trust any of the Real Housewives to babysit the child, as they are all smart enough to know the consequences of any mistakes. Acknowledging their roles as mothers, he expressed confidence in their abilities. While Ben and Lucy's relationship appeared to be love at first sight, other celebrity siblings have faced initial difficulties in getting along. After Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West had their son Saint in December 2015, Kim revealed that their older daughter North, born in June 2013, wasn't particularly fond of her new brother.
“I can’t say for sure if it’s due to her being the older sister. I’m not exactly sure what the reason is,” mentioned the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan in August 2017. “I initially thought it was just a phase. She doesn't seem to like her brother, and it’s incredibly difficult for me. She would become incredibly jealous whenever I would breast-feed or engage in any motherly activities. Unfortunately, this phase doesn't seem to be passing.”
However, two months later, the Selfish author reported that the tension between the siblings had slightly eased. On her website in October 2017, Kardashian stated, “She still needs to work on herself and be a little more kind, but I believe she's making progress. I noticed some signs of improvement a week ago. She isn't causing harm to him or anything. It's just that she prefers to keep boys out of her room."
North and Saint finally found peace after three years and the addition of two more siblings. In January 2020, the Hulu personality shared heartwarming photos on Instagram, showing the pair smiling and laughing together. Kardashian and West had welcomed their daughter Chicago in January 2018 and their son Psalm in May 2019, but sadly, they decided to split in February 2021. Despite Ben and Lucy's seemingly love at first sight relationship, some other celebrity siblings find it difficult to get along initially. After Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West had their son Saint in December 2015, Kim revealed that her older sister North (born in June 2013) wasn't fond of him.
"I'm not sure if it's because she's the older sister. I can't really figure it out," the founder of Skims shared during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan in August 2017. "I thought it was just a phase. She's not a fan of her brother, and it's really tough for me. She would get extremely jealous when I would breast-feed and do all those things. And now, the phase hasn't passed."
Two months later, however, the author of Selfish mentioned that the tension between the siblings had somewhat eased. Kardashian stated in an October 2017 video on her website, "She still needs to work on improving her attitude and being a little kinder, but I believe she's making progress." Kardashian also expressed witnessing positive changes recently, stating that her daughter was not being harmful or mean to her brother, but simply didn't want boys in her room.
Three years later, after the addition of two more siblings, North and Saint finally reached a point of agreement. The Hulu personality shared on Instagram in January 2020, along with several pictures of the pair happily smiling and laughing, that they now get along. Kardashian and West had welcomed their daughter Chicago in January 2018 and son Psalm in May 2019 before their separation in February 2021.
