While on their assignment, Kugisaki and Itadori unexpectedly encounter some former classmates of Fushiguro from middle school. However, their connection to Fushiguro is not immediately disclosed. Observing these individuals smoking, Kugisaki suggests confronting and correcting their behavior, prompting Itadori to question her statement with a simple, "Why?" Sensing the tension rising, the group of students prepares to engage in a fight until Fushiguro's presence diffuses the situation.

They humbly bow and extend their greetings toward the group, giving Kugisaki and Itadori the impression that their display of respect was directed towards them.
