Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 6 has a sinister cameo
Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 6 features an appearance from the late cannibalistic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
In the opening of 'Rickfending Your Mort', Morty confronts a drunken Rick and asks him to use one of his "Morty gets to choose the adventure" punch cards. It seems that Rick is drowning his sorrows from the previous episode. Reluctantly, Morty attempts to convince Rick by showing him a collection of notes documenting their past adventures. However, Rick dismisses Morty's evidence and abruptly disappears from the garage. He returns with the "Observer," a colossal gemstone with the extraordinary ability to witness and remember all events occurring throughout the multiverse.
The misadventures of the Observer unravel, resulting in a remarkable and uproarious compilation episode. However, an inadvertent action by Rick and Morty leads to the Observer's demise, thrusting them into a trial held by the Observer's home planet. During the trial, a lawyer Observer endeavours to demonstrate that the duo do not possess exemplary moral character.
In court, a series of clips are presented, one of which showcases Rick giving Morty a "gorilla gun." However, when Morty uses it to shoot a bully, the scene swiftly transitions to the principal's office, where the injured bully is in bandages and a wheelchair. Morty exclaims, "I thought it would transform him into a gorilla," to which a dissatisfied Rick clarifies, "It was actually a gun designed to eliminate gorillas."
In the following clip, Rick hands over a "bully gun" to Morty. Despite Morty's insistence that it requires no explanation, he accidently shoots himself in the presence of a bully, once again misunderstanding the literal meaning of the weapon's name.
After resuscitating Morty, Rick hands him a firearm with clear instructions: "This is a weapon solely intended for dealing with individuals of ill intent." The scene shifts to Morty strolling through the park on a date when an unexpected intruder emerges from the bushes, wielding a gun, and demanding their money.
Reacting swiftly, Morty draws his gun and fires at him. However, instead of a bullet, a mass of flesh emerges, transforming into Jeffrey Dahmer, the notorious serial killer infamous for cannibalism and the inspiration behind the Netflix series, "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story."

While it didn’t quite have the intended effect, the decoy did manage to distract the thief, giving Morty and his date time to run away.
On Reddit, fans expressed their amusement at the darkly humorous cameo, with one user commenting, "The episode was absolutely amazing, and the Jeffrey Dahmer gun had me in fits of laughter." Another fan mentioned, "The line about a gun specifically for bad people could be the funniest joke of the entire season, in my opinion."
"I knew something was coming, but it still took me by surprise and made me laugh uncontrollably," admitted a third individual. Additionally, a tweet on X/Twitter from a fourth fan read, "That joke about Dahmer had me in stitches."

Rick and Morty is known for its edgy humor and willingness to push boundaries, so it's not surprising that they would include a reference to Jeffrey Dahmer in the latest episode. The scene where Morty shoots the bully with the "gorilla gun" only to have him turn into Dahmer was both hilarious and disturbing. It's clear that the writers are not afraid to tackle taboo subjects, and they do so in a way that is both clever and thought-provoking.
The inclusion of Dahmer in the episode is also a reminder of the dark side of human nature. Dahmer was a real person who committed heinous crimes, and it's important to remember that there are people like him in the world. The episode does a good job of balancing the humor with the seriousness of the subject matter, and it's a reminder that we should never take our safety for granted.
