Unlocking camos is a significant aspect of the Call of Duty grind, and a blog post provides detailed information about the new camos available in Modern Warfare 3. This post offers a sneak peek at some stunning new mastery camos and also provides additional information about the camos carried over from Modern Warfare 2. Here is everything you need to know about the new camo grind in Modern Warfare 3.

How MW2 camos work in MW3

Similar to previous titles, Modern Warfare 3 features two categories of unlockable camos. These include the standard base camos and the highly sought-after "mastery" completionist camos. Furthermore, all the weapon camos from Modern Warfare 2 will be carried over to Modern Warfare 3 as part of the Call of Duty's new Carry Forward program, although there are certain limitations on how you can utilize the completionist camos.

Base camos

The base camos, which are the initial camos unlocked in both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, can be used on weapons from both games. However, the mastery camos specific to Modern Warfare 3 can only be applied to MW3 weapons, while the mastery camos exclusive to Modern Warfare 2 can only be used on MW2 weapons. This restriction also applies to the newly introduced MW2 Zombies mastery camos described below.

Base camos

These base camos are the first sets of camos you unlock in Call of Duty. There are a total of 18 different sets of these camos available, and you can obtain them by playing multiplayer and Zombies modes using any weapon from Modern Warfare 3.

Completionist camos

In relation to the aforementioned information, it is worth noting that all camos from Modern Warfare 2 can be transferred over. Furthermore, you still have the opportunity to complete any unfinished camo challenges by using the corresponding Modern Warfare 2 weapons while playing Modern Warfare 3. In addition to this, there are also new variants available for each set of Modern Warfare 2 camos, which can be unlocked by playing Zombies using MW2-specific weapons.

Modern Warfare 3 introduces a total of 12 completionist camos that can be unlocked. As with previous Call of Duty games, these camos feature stunning designs that motivate players to complete all the camo challenges in the game. These camos are grouped into sets of four for both multiplayer and Zombies.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z netizen, I am excited about the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 3 and the new camos that will be available. The mastery camos, in particular, look stunning and will be a great addition to the game. I am also glad that all of the camos from Modern Warfare 2 will be carried over to Modern Warfare 3, as this will give players more options to customize their weapons.

However, I am a bit disappointed that the mastery camos specific to Modern Warfare 3 can only be applied to MW3 weapons, and vice versa. I think it would be better if players could use any mastery camo on any weapon, regardless of which game it is from. Overall, I am very excited about the new camos in Modern Warfare 3 and can't wait to unlock them all.
