The son of a Hollywood agent is slated to appear in a Los Angeles court on Monday morning following the discovery of a portion of a woman's body in a dumpster. This led authorities to the residence where the suspect resided with his wife and in-laws, all of whom are currently missing. The unsettling discovery occurred at sunrise on Wednesday when an individual searching through dumpster bins alongside a busy road stumbled upon a bag containing the torso of a woman.
Samuel Haskell, a 35-year-old suspect, was apprehended on suspicion of murder several hours after the incident occurred. He is currently being held in custody as of Sunday night. Although the identification of the dismembered body part is still pending, law enforcement officials believe it belongs to Samuel Haskell's wife, Mei Li Haskell, who is 37 years old. Additionally, Mei Li's parents, Gaoshan Li (71 years old) and Yanxiang Wang (64 years old), have not been located.
Heres what we know.
Police found blood inside the home
According to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department, investigators who arrived at the scene on Wednesday discovered information that directed them to the residence of the suspects in the West Valley area. The specifics of the information that led to the identification of the suspect remain unclear.
During a news conference last week, LAPD Detective Efren Gutierrez stated that authorities discovered "blood evidence and various other items" at the residence, as reported by CNN affiliate KABC.

Haskell lived there with his wife and three children, as well as his in-laws. The children were found and are being cared for by family members, Los Angeles police said.
However, Haskell's wife and her parents are still unaccounted for.
During the recent press conference, Gutierrez expressed concern about their location, stating that they would typically be at home at this time.
Efforts to reach them via cell phone have been unsuccessful. Mei, on the other hand, cannot be located and repeated calls to her phone have yielded no response," stated the detective. Law enforcement has yet to confirm the identity of the torso, but according to Los Angeles Police Capt. Scot Williams, it is presumed to be Mei Li Haskell, the wife of the suspect, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Suspect is son of Emmy-winning producer
Haskell, who is the son of Emmy-winning producer and Hollywood agent Sam Haskell, has an impressive lineage in the entertainment industry. Sam Haskell has represented renowned figures such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Whoopi Goldberg, Dolly Parton, George Clooney, and many others.
It is unclear whether he has legal representation. CNN has also contacted senior Haskell for a comment.
In accordance with the LAPD news release, investigators are also searching for two vehicles that are missing. These include a white Volkswagen Tiguan and a white 2014 Nissan Pathfinder.
Authorities did not share any details about who the vehicles belong to and how they may be connected in the case.
