All legendary chests in Hogwarts Legacy
As previously mentioned, the legendary chests in Hogwarts Legacy contain powerful gear items. However, the strength of these items varies depending on your character's level. Therefore, it is advisable to wait until later in the game to open these chests, so that the loot remains valuable as you progress. Additionally, like other containers, the rewards from these chests are randomized, making it uncertain what type of item or equipment you will receive. To increase your chances of obtaining desired items, you can employ the save-reload method. Simply create a manual save before opening a chest to ensure you acquire something of relevance.
Furthermore, it is important to note that certain legendary chests in Hogwarts Legacy are located in locked areas. To access these chests, the Alohomora spell must be obtained. However, acquiring the spell alone is not enough, as it also needs to be upgraded by collecting Demiguise Statues or Demiguise Moons scattered throughout the game world.
Bell Tower Wing Legendary Chests
Bell Tower - To find this chest, head to the right of the Floo Flame and ascend the staircase. Along the way, you'll come across several bells that are part of a separate side quest or puzzle. Once you reach the top of the wooden staircase, you'll arrive at a balcony where the chest awaits. Keep in mind that attempting to fly directly to this location from outside will result in being unable to land.
Hogwarts North Exit/Greenhouses - Proceed to the exterior of the Greenhouses. Just below that, you will come across an Astronomy Table, as well as a door completely covered in vines. Employ the Incendio spell to burn off the vines, allowing for entry. Once inside, you will encounter a considerable amount of Devil's Snare. Ensure that you continuously cast either Incendio or Confringo spells to successfully overcome them. Towards the very end of the hallway lies a Venomous Tentacula. On the right, you will find a ladder leading to a separate room within the Greenhouses, where the chest awaits.
Great Hall Legendary Chests
Viaduct Courtyard - This particular task necessitates the resolution of the Bridge/Viaduct Puzzle. Employ your fire spells to illuminate the braziers and manipulate their dials until the numbers align with the symbols displayed on the ground plate.
Astronomy Wing Legendary Chests
To access the Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) Classroom, simply unlock the door situated at the rear of the classroom. From there, proceed down the staircase, bearing in mind that there is another locked door below. Inside the detention cell awaits a chest.
South Wing Legendary Chests
In order to reach the Clock Tower Courtyard, you must first solve the Clock Tower Puzzle. This entails observing the four symbols positioned above the clock's hand or pendulum. Employ Glacius to freeze the hand when it nears a symbol, thus activating a mechanical door for entry.
If you freeze the hand when it reaches the second symbol, there is an Eye Chest located on the second floor. In order to access the legendary chest in Hogwarts Legacy, freeze the hand on the fourth symbol and proceed to a room near the top of the staircase.
To reach the Faculty Tower, ascend the staircase and look for a door with a level 3 lock.
Secret Rooms Legendary Chests
Accessing the Hogwarts cellar involves navigating through a series of corridors, although it is recommended to utilize the Map Chamber Floo Flame once it becomes available a few hours into the campaign. To reach the cellar, simply ascend the steps and use Alohomora (Level 1) to unlock the metal gate. In this area, there will be a frog statue that will transport you to another location. Interacting with the various frog statues will eventually lead you to a small room containing a chest.
Grand Staircase Legendary Chests
Moving along the corridor from the Floo Flame, proceed up the staircase to find yourself in a hallway adorned with mahogany walls. To the left, there is a room housing a chest.
To access the Trophy Room in the Headmaster's Bedroom, you must complete the main quest known as Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial. This quest will grant you the password to the Phoenix gargoyle and grant you entry to the Headmaster's Office. Inside the office, there are two doors on your left. One of them is locked at level 3. Open this door to access the Headmaster's Bedroom.
To unlock the Trophy Room with the Key of Admittance, you will need to obtain the Key of Admittance. This key can be found by opening the other door in the Headmaster's Office, which has a level 1 lock. However, please note that the door at the top of the steps requires a level 3 lock. Once you have retrieved the Key of Admittance, proceed to the opposite side of the room where the Phoenix gargoyle used to be. Here, you will find an ornate door with multiple locks. Use the Key of Admittance to open this door and access the chest located inside.
Hogsmeade Legendary Chests
These legendary chests can be found in Hogsmeade Village as part of the Hogwarts Legacy game. While one of these chests can be unlocked at an early stage, the rest require the player to possess the Alohomora spell and certain upgrades.
Honeydukes - Adjacent to the main entrance of Honeydukes, there is a room with a level 2 lock. Inside this room, a legendary chest awaits.
Visit Hogsmeade House located to the right of the South Hogsmeade fast travel point, identified by its level 3 lock.
Adjacent to Hogsmeade House, you will find a shop named Flutes and Lutes where a legendary chest can be found at the back.
Hogwarts Legacy is being developed by Avalanche Software, which operates as a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game has faced outcry due to transphobic comments made by JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. Despite not being directly involved in the game's production, Rowling stands to benefit financially from its popularity.
