A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player used a bow and specific items to easily take down a difficult enemy, the Gleeok, from a long distance away.
The player achieved success by combining Gleeok Wings with their arrows, utilizing the formidable Zonaite Bow, and donning the Barbarian Armor set to amplify their damage. Although the video only displays the concluding moments, players can still duplicate this tactic by acquiring the appropriate equipment and items, even if it requires multiple attempts.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, defeating a Gleeok can be quite challenging. Gleeoks are formidable enemies with three heads, resembling dragons. They possess a substantial amount of health and strong defense. The game features three variants of Gleeoks: Flame Gleeok, Frost Gleeok, and Thunder Gleeok, each utilizing different elemental attacks. Additionally, there are King Gleeoks scattered throughout Hyrule, who possess the abilities of all three Gleeok types.
Reddit user Champions-Descendant shared a video on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit featuring an impressive feat by Link. From a distant vantage point atop a nearby mountain, Link skillfully aimed his bow at a Gleeok, a winged monster. Enhancing his arrows with Gleeok Wings, Link fired multiple shots, ultimately defeating the creature. The success of this accomplishment can be attributed to the specific weapon utilized, the player's equipment, and the strategic fusion of items onto each arrow. Known as Gleeok Wings in Tears of the Kingdom, these items enable the arrows to travel greater distances. The Zonaite Bow, employed in the clip, enables the player to charge up their shots using Link's energy meter. Notably, the longer the charge, the more powerful the shot becomes.
Link was also seen wearing the Barbarian Armor set in the video, which significantly enhances his damage output, similar to certain meals and elixirs in the game. The three pieces of the Barbarian armor set can be found in specific caves scattered throughout Hyrule. Unfortunately, the shared clip is brief and only reveals the final moments of Link defeating the Gleeok, making it difficult to verify if he indeed accomplished it in just three shots. Nonetheless, players can replicate this feat by utilizing the same damage-boosting weapons and items, even if it requires a few additional shots.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
