In the previous chapter of Kagurabachi, the Kamunabi sorcerers outsmarted the Mafia boss Genichi Sojo by following Chihiro's strategies, preventing him from using his most powerful move, Charge. Meanwhile, Chihiro Rokuhira has located Char and is preparing for the upcoming battle.

Spoiler alert for Kagurabachi chapter 14: The chapter starts with Chihiro Rokuhira revealing his late father's insights about the Enchanted Blade's true capabilities to the Kamunabi members. According to his father, Kunishige, the source material Datenseki holds a power that defies logic. This power allows the blade to adapt and transform based on the wielder's will, intellect, and comprehension of the blade.

Subsequent to that, the leaked details regarding Kagurabachi chapter 14 depict a different setting (a secretive hideout), where Shiba makes an appearance and gets ready to confront a group of sorcerers. A brief flashback uncovers how he and Chihiro gathered crucial information from the defeated guard in chapter 12.
When inquired about Sojo's relationship to Hisaku and Shinuchi, the guard disclosed to Shiba and Chihiro the whereabouts of a small shed that linked to an underground warehouse. Interestingly, that location was protected by a group of powerful sorcerers.

Sensing something suspicious, Shiba decides to investigate and asks Chihiro to focus on rescuing Char. He reminds the protagonist not to over-exert themselves and to avoid getting into any fights.
If there is no way to infiltrate without fighting, Shiba suggests that Chihiro keeps an eye on the enemies and waits for his arrival. In Kagurabachi chapter 14, the protagonist follows Shiba's advice.
However, a sorcerer ambushes him from behind. Meanwhile, Shiba feels that Chihiro is in peril. Two imposing sorcerers suddenly emerge, prompting him to postpone his return to Chihiro.
