A player of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet recently captured shiny versions of Marill, Starly, and Toxel Pokemon after consuming a shiny dragon sandwich.
Shiny sandwich recipes can prove valuable in the upcoming DLC called "The Indigo Disk" since there will be a high demand for shiny versions of the returning starter Pokemon.
Eating a dragon sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet unexpectedly resulted in several shiny encounters for a dedicated Pokemon fan. These games offer limited-time boosts when consuming sandwiches, which can be beneficial for leveling up and searching for rare shiny Pokemon.
Last November, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced players to the Paldea region for the first time. Now, almost a year later, players of these games will embark on a new adventure with the release of "The Teal Mask" DLC. This DLC is part of "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero" DLC set, which will also include another expansion to be launched in the upcoming winter. "The Teal Mask" will be available on September 13th, giving players the opportunity to prepare by collecting all sandwich recipes and capturing all the Pokemon currently available in Generation 9.
Mufasasass, a player of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, recently acquired shiny versions of Marill, Starly, and Toxel after consuming a shiny dragon sandwich in-game. However, these were not the desired Pokemon. The sandwich was supposed to provide Mufasasass with bonuses for encountering and capturing Dragon-type Pokemon, specifically a shiny Goomy from Generation 6 (featured in Pokemon X and Y). Goomy, although considered weaker among Dragon-type Pokemon, has the potential to evolve into Sliggoo at level 40 and further evolve into the formidable Goodra at level 50. Other users have faced a similar situation but were not as fortunate in finding multiple shiny Pokemon like Mufasasass.
While the effects of the shiny dragon sandwich were active, Goomy managed to escape from Mufasasass's capture attempt. However, the recently obtained shiny Pokemon could be valuable for trading with other players. In the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games, shiny Pokemon are highly coveted, so other players might be interested in adding shiny Marill, Starly, and Toxel to their collections.
The upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will reintroduce several starter Pokemon, including Squirtle, Snivy, and Mudkip. Shiny versions of these Pokemon will be in great demand once again, making shiny sandwich recipes potentially handy when "The Indigo Disk" DLC launches this winter. Additionally, an upcoming Pokemon HOME update will enable players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to transfer numerous Pokemon once the new DLC becomes available.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
