Where Will the Crew of the Revenge Go Next?

The fate of the Revenge's crew and their next destination went unanswered in the Season 2 finale of Our Flag Means Death. However, there is a suggestion that Zheng Yi Sao (Ruibo Qian) has joined forces with the crew and aims to seek revenge against Banes (Erroll Shand) and his team for the devastation they caused to the Red Flag. She, along with Auntie (Anapela Polataivao), attempts to recruit Ed (Taika Waititi) and Stede (Rhys Darby), as Ed seeks to avenge Izzy's (Con O'Neill) death at the hands of the English.
The eclectic Revenge crew has experienced numerous strange and humorous adventures both as individuals and as a familial unit. With this in mind, it is safe to assume that this remarkable and close-knit crew will embark on yet another series of chaotic and comedic escapades. The introduction of new characters ensures that new dynamics will arise, potentially involving theatrical performances, island visits, or encounters with other pirates. Wherever their journey takes them, it promises to be an entertaining spectacle.
When Will Stede and Reunite With the Crew?

In the Season 2 finale titled "Mermen," the beloved crew confronts the English after being captured. Stede, the leader, devises a plan ("It's only suicide if we die") that surprisingly succeeds. They cleverly disguise themselves as English officers to engage in battle and emerge victorious. However, the triumph is overshadowed by the unexpected death of Izzy. The crew witnesses this tragedy and proceeds to bury Izzy near a small, old home.
Towards the end of the episode, the crew resumes their activities on the Revenge, striving to restore normalcy. Spanish Jackie (Leslie Jones) also joins them for their future adventures, bringing along some welcome changes. Despite this, the absence of Stede and Ed, the co-captains, is noticeable on deck. They have decided to stay behind on the island, pursuing their long-awaited dream of building an inn. As they watch the ship sail into the sunset, it marks a bittersweet conclusion to the season. The question arises of when the couple will reunite with the crew. Will it be a joyous reunion or a situation demanding their immediate assistance? Regardless, witnessing this unfolding of events is something we eagerly anticipate.
What Exactly Happened to Buttons?

As if things couldn’t get any stranger, Buttons (Ewan Bremner) manages to successfully transform himself into a seagull. Buttons has always been a fascinating individual on board the Revenge, known for his spirituality and his tendency to keep to himself. He possesses a captivating connection with birds, particularly seagulls. Throughout Season 2, Buttons becomes increasingly intertwined with these creatures, and in the episode "Fun and Games," he collects items for a specific avian transmogrification spell. By the conclusion of the episode, he mysteriously morphs into a seagull and flies away from Ed in the woods. Later, Ed tries to explain what he witnessed to the rest of the crew, but they, especially Roach (Samba Schutte), find it difficult to believe. The truth is, nobody truly knows if Buttons actually transformed into a bird, but considering the touch of fantasy woven into the show, it's not entirely implausible. Perhaps we will soon discover what his fate holds.
How Will Lucius and Black Pete Adjust to Married Life?

One of the most heartwarming storylines from Season 2 revolves around Lucius (Nathan Foad) and Black Pete (Matthew Maher). Their relationship is an exemplar of health and resilience, as they navigate through numerous challenges together. In "Red Flags," Lucius and Black Pete finally reunite after a period of separation. However, Lucius is still grappling with the aftermath of his past experiences, causing a temporary rift between the couple. Fortunately, they eventually find their way back to each other, and their bond grows stronger. This culminates in the heart-melting moment when Lucius proposes to Black Pete in "The Curse of the Seafaring Life." Surrounded by their pirate family, they exchange vows and celebrate their love in the season finale. Now that they are married, what lies ahead for this harmonious pair? Will they embark on a romantic honeymoon far from the Revenge, or perhaps seek a stable home to start their new life together? The journey of this extraordinary couple surely promises to be captivating and ought not to be missed.
What's Going On Between Jim and Archie (and Oluwande)?

Jim (Vico Ortiz) and Oluwande's (Samson Kayo) romantic relationship will not continue, surprising many. In the new season, they are separated and develop feelings for other people instead. Jim is drawn to Archie (Madeleine Sami) while Oluwande finds a connection with Zheng. While we witness the growth of Oluwande and Zheng's relationship, Jim and Archie's moments together are limited, apart from a shared kiss. It would be wonderful to see more of them, as their relationship deserves equal attention and brings a unique dynamic to the show's representation.
What Will Spanish Jackie’s Role Be on the Revenge?

In addition to Archie, there is another exciting newcomer to the Revenge family - Spanish Jackie. This captivating and humorous woman has primarily been seen in the Republic of Pirates, where she runs a bar and oversees her collection of peculiar nose jars. However, now that the Swede (Nat Faxon) has become one of her many husbands, Jackie becomes more integrated with the crew and eventually sets sail with them by the end of the season. The Revenge is now filled with an abundance of love and positivity, which is truly heartwarming to witness. With any luck, this also means that we will be granted further insight into Spanish Jackie's intriguing and enigmatic backstory.

Editor's P/S
As a fan of "Our Flag Means Death," I have many unanswered questions after watching Season 2. Where will the Revenge crew venture next? Will Stede reunite with them? What truly happened to Buttons? How will Lucius and Black Pete adapt to married life? What's brewing between Jim, Archie, and Oluwande? And what role will Spanish Jackie play on the Revenge?
I'm excited to see how these questions will be answered in future seasons. I'm also curious to see how the show will continue to develop the characters and their relationships. I think the show has a lot of potential, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Revenge crew.
