After upgrading or purchasing new ships in Starfield, acquiring credits may become challenging. However, there are several fast and lucrative side quests that can help. Among them, the Blast Zone side quest stands out and can be easily accessed at the beginning.
To find the Starfield side quest, head to Akila City situated on planet Akila within the Cheyenne system. Nevertheless, obtaining the quest is not as simple as it seems. Fortunately, this guide provides directions directly to the quest giver.
Blast Zone Side Quest Walkthrough
The Blast Zone side quest can be obtained by players while exploring Akila City and listening to conversations among civilians and guards. However, the quest can be randomly received. If players are having difficulty triggering the quest, they can talk to Ngodup Tate near the rear of the city to manually start it.
To initiate the quest, enter Akila City from the ship landing pad and navigate through the center of the city towards The Rock building. From there, take the left staircase to reach a row of houses on the left side. Ngodup Tate will be standing outside one of these homes. He may attempt to sell the player two properties, so politely decline by selecting "Nice to meet you. Goodbye." Afterward, players can accept the side quest from Tate, which involves clearing out debris from a piece of land. Additionally, Tate will provide the player with a Cutter weapon if they don't already have one in their inventory.
How To Fix Blast Zone Side Quest Bug
Clear out six rocks by marking each one on the HUD. You can reach the rocks by using the stairs in the alley on the left or by jumping off the balcony. Destroy all six rocks using the scanner and Cutter. Afterwards, return to Ngodup Tate, who is located in the same general area, to receive a reward of at least 50 XP and 2,500 Credits.
Some players have encountered a bug within the side quest where the six rocks that have to be destroyed do not spawn at all. Thankfully, there is an easy fix if it happens.

Return to the spaceship and embark on a journey to Venus, located within the Sol system. Upon reaching the planet, choose any landing spot and patiently wait for a duration of 10 in-game hours. You can achieve this by resting on a chair or sleeping in a bed within the ship. Once complete, make your way back to Akila City, and you will find that the rocks have spawned and are ready to be destroyed.
Starfield is currently accessible on both PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
