Rarely do the words "TSA" and "adorable" go hand in hand. Long lines, discarded items, and a sometimes-grumpy atmosphere are not very endearing.

However, they are a perfect match when it comes to the Transportation Security Administration's annual canine calendar. The agency unveiled its 2024 edition on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday - and it's safe to say these safety-conscious, diligent dogs are absolutely precious.

The calendar celebrates over 1,000 explosives-detection canines employed throughout the United States. Dina, the winner of the 2023 cutest canine contest, graces the cover. At three years old, she is a German Shorthaired Pointer who serves at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. In February, she was part of the team of TSA canines working at Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, as reported in a TSA news release.

The love for dogs extends beyond just the cover. Inside, you'll find a year's worth of dogs, beginning with Gina-Gina, a majestic Belgian Malinois working at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Plus, US airports are expecting the busiest Thanksgiving season ever.

The calendar actually features more than a year's worth of dogs, with a few extra canines included at the end. It also includes interesting dog factoids, like this one from May: "Canines have a sense of smell more sensitive than even the most advanced man-made instrument. Their noses can detect substances at concentrations of one part per trillion, equivalent to a single drop of liquid in 20 Olympic-size swimming pools."
