Trump withdraws appeal to transfer Manhattan hush money trial to federal court

Former President Trump withdraws appeal to transfer his hush money trial from state to federal court in Manhattan

Former President Donald Trump is withdrawing his appeal to transfer his hush money trial, commonly referred to as "hush money trial," from a New York state court to a federal court. A judge, who had previously declined this request in July, reasoned that the payments made to former adult film star Stormy Daniels and the purported falsification of business records that followed were unrelated to Trump's duties as the President.

The trial is slated to begin in New York City in March.
