Travis Kelce experienced a heartwarming moment in his connection with Taylor Swift, all thanks to a meme about the couple. On his podcast "New Heights," the NFL star expressed his admiration for a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) that humorously mentioned his initial attempts to meet the 33-year-old singer.

The tweet played on the well-known "and I took that personally" meme associated with Michael Jordan. In the original post from July, it said, "Travis when Taylor Swift declined to meet him before her concert," accompanied by a picture of Jordan.

On Sunday, November 12, a fan responded in a humorous manner, saying, "That comment has aged well." The "New Heights" account promptly liked the reply, resulting in the interaction gaining prominence in the feeds of their followers.

The initial post refers to Kelce, 34, expressing his disappointment when attending the Eras Tour as he was unable to meet Swift.

Kelce revealed on his podcast "New Heights" in July, to his cohost and brother, Jason Kelce, that he felt "butthurt" because Swift does not talk before or after her shows, as she needs to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Kelce had planned to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his contact information.

Despite a slight missed connection initially, it didn't hinder the development of their high-profile romance. In September, Kelce extended an invitation to Swift to witness his games, and ever since, the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer has been seen supporting Kelce at various Kansas City Chiefs matches.

Earlier this week, Kelce took advantage of his NFL bye week to support Swift as she began her South American tour. Kelce is scheduled to return to the field on Monday, November 20, for the Chiefs' game against the Eagles.

The NFL tight end was seen attending Swift's show in Buenos Aires on Saturday, November 11. At the end of the concert, Swift gave a shout-out to Kelce, prompting her to run off stage and share a passionate embrace with the football star. During her final song of the night, "Karma," Swift changed the lyrics to express that Kelce is the one coming straight home to her.

Swift and Kelce's future appears bright as they gear up to navigate a period of long-distance. Kelce must return to the United States to fulfill his NFL schedule, while Swift is set to perform in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo for the remainder of November.

According to a source, Swift and Kelce are an authentic couple who spend significant quality time together and have formed a genuine bond. They have carefully crafted plans to ensure their relationship remains intact during Swift's tour and Kelce's games.
