It may have been National Tight End Day on Sunday, October 22, but tight end Travis Kelce was all about his teammates.
Kelce, 34, expressed his excitement for the football game in a video posted by the Kansas City Chiefs on Instagram on October 25th. He emphasized the perfect weather and encouraged his teammates to give their best efforts, as they always do. The Chiefs captured Kelce's reactions during their home game against the Los Angeles Chargers, where he consistently showed his support for his fellow players.
"Wow, impressive performance out there, my man!" Kelce exclaimed enthusiastically after the Chiefs successfully scored their initial touchdown of the match. "Let's keep up the momentum, one play at a time!"
He also cheered, "Well done!" as teammate Rashee Rice skillfully received a pass. "Keep it coming, buddy," Kelce continued. "We crave more! Let's push forward and give it our all!"
Sunday's game signaled the comeback of Mecole Hardman, who was recently traded back to the Chiefs from the New York Jets.
"Wow, 'Cole!" Kelce cheered as 25-year-old Hardman evaded a tackle at the 40-yard line. "Let's go, let's go! That's absolute brilliance. That's exactly what I mean, my friend."
Kelce displayed sportsmanship towards the Chargers athletes as well, complimenting one of his opponents on a good tackle. The Chiefs ultimately emerged victorious in the game, with Kelce enthusiastically acknowledging their triumph by stating, "That's how you complete a game, right there!" They secured the win by scoring another touchdown. As he praised Hardman, Kelce exclaimed, "That's how you wrap it up. I'm incredibly happy for you, brother."
Kelce exclaimed, "We will only intensify our efforts against them!"
Kelce and the Chiefs, now in their seventh week of the 2023-2024 NFL season, were supported by a VIP cheering section as they secured the win. In a show of support, Taylor Swift, Kelce's new romantic interest, attended the game and occupied a private box along with Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes' wife, and the entire Mahomes family, including Randi, Patrick's mother, and Jackson, his brother. In a symbolic gesture, the Grammy winner, aged 33, even adorned a friendship bracelet featuring Kelce's #87 jersey number.
CBS took a humorous jab at Kelce’s bond with Swift during the NFL broadcast, highlighting his statistics. They depicted his performance when Swift was present at the game versus when he was "left to his own devices," alluding to the lyrics from her song "Anti-Hero."

Travis chuckled as he addressed his brother, Jason Kelce, on their "New Heights" podcast, expressing his surprise, "I can't believe I wasn't aware of this! 'Left to his own devices.' Well said."
Travis and Swift have been romantically connected since September, and insider sources revealed to We earlier this month that their friends believe they are already deeply in love.
Travis and Swift left the game on Sunday hand-in-hand, making their way towards a private dinner date and a postgame celebration. During the celebration, Swift affectionately kissed Travis on the cheek, as captured in an Instagram photo shared by Hardman's girlfriend.
