Transfers Update: Will Mohammed Salah Secure a Shock Move to Al Ittihad Before the Saudi Pro League Window Shuts?

Liverpool rejects £150m bid from Al Ittihad for Mohamed Salah; club maintains stance that the Egyptian forward is not for sale

Al Ittihad is looking to submit another offer for Mohamed Salah ahead of the closing of the Saudi Pro League transfer window on Thursday. While some influential individuals at the club believe it is worthwhile to pursue Salah's signature once more, others are advising to defer the pursuit until the next summer transfer window.

The SPL must approve any new offer before it can be finalized, with chief executive Saad Al Lazeez and director of football Michael Emenalo being responsible for the approval process. On Thursday, Liverpool turned down a verbal offer from Al Ittihad for Salah, which was valued at £150m.

Liverpool remains firm on their stance - Salah is not available for transfer.

Addressing the media following their triumph over Aston Villa, Jurgen Klopp confidently stated, "I never questioned his loyalty to this club. Despite the excessive attention it garnered worldwide, we have remained composed. Salah belongs to us, and he is determined to continue representing Liverpool."

The SPL window closes at 10pm UK time on Thursday.
