Rapper Nashawn Breedlove, famous for his role in a rap battle with Eminem in the film "8 Mile" from 2002, sadly passed away at the age of 46. The news was confirmed by his mother, Patricia Breedlove, through a Facebook post on Tuesday.
"It is with deep sadness that I inform you all about the passing of my dear son, Nashawn Breedlove. He was known to many as Lotto, ox, a name that exemplified his strength and unwavering spirit," the heartfelt message states.
The post goes on to mention that Nashawn was a multi-talented individual, excelling in the fields of rap, singing, songwriting, and acting. His undeniable talent left a lasting impression on everyone."
Breedlove called her son "a remarkable man" whose "departure from this world has left an immense void in my life, one that words cannot fully express."

It is not clear how Breedlove died, but his death drew tributes from other figures in the music industry.
"RIP to Lotto from 8 Mile, one of the rare emcees who outshone Eminem. Rapper Mickey Factz paid tribute on Instagram, reminiscing about the iconic rap battle scene where Lotto fiercely competed against Eminem's character. Your tenacity and aggressiveness will surely be missed, my friend," expressed Mickey Factz.
