Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong shared the heartbreaking news that her 2-year-old son, Enzo, passed away after accidentally drowning.
In a heartfelt Instagram post in Chinese on Saturday, May 18, Yong expressed that Enzo is now a happy little angel and the pain has eased. She also thanked everyone for their prayers and blessings during this difficult time.
Yong and her family were on vacation for Mother’s Day weekend. She and her husband, Lim Kong Wang, were snuggling their son after he got tired from drinking milk, like he usually does.
They ended up falling asleep alongside their toddler. However, when they woke up, they noticed that Enzo was missing and the door to the pool, which was supposed to be locked, was open. They found Enzo inside, unresponsive. Yong performed emergency CPR while Kong Wang went to look for help because the hotel had a poor phone network, making it impossible for them to call for assistance.
We quickly went to the hotel lobby with the baby and requested the hotel staff to call an ambulance and provide first aid until the ambulance arrived. Half an hour later, the baby regained his heartbeat at the hospital but remained unconscious.
Yong revealed that Enzo passed away on Friday, May 17, when his heart stopped beating.

Her post expressed the wish for the accident to be avoided, asking for peace for baby Enzo.
Yong posted clips from Enzo's memorial service, where attendees released colorful balloons in his honor. The memorial display showcased a photo of the toddler in a flower frame, surrounded by balloons and snacks like yogurt drinks, muffins, oranges, and bananas.
Yong is a popular social media influencer known for sharing content related to beauty, fashion, travel, and lifestyle. In July 2022, she shared the exciting news that she and Kong Wang had welcomed their baby Enzo. Following the announcement, Yong started documenting her journey into motherhood for her followers.
She took to Instagram to introduce Enzo to the world by posting a photo of herself holding her baby's tiny foot. Alongside the picture, she wrote, "Say hello to the world, little friends. The first time I saw you, your cheeks were rosy. Although my face may be tired, it is beaming with happiness."
Yong created an Instagram page solely for Enzo, where she shared numerous photos and videos of him. Recently, Yong posted a throwback clip of Enzo trying out one of her digital cameras, with the caption "It looks like it" in Chinese.
