As a result of the adverse weather conditions, the government has halted the operations of employees and workers in both the public and private sectors in five governorates, which include Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, and Al Dakhiliyah.
The government has given permission for employees to work from home if it is feasible.
Authorities in Oman are currently carrying out rescue operations following the closure of all schools in six governorates, including Muscat, on Monday. This decision was made due to the unstable weather conditions, as stated in a Monday UNOCHA announcement.
Moderate heavy rainfall is expected across north-eastern and northern Oman over the next few days.
