Guizhou Television reported that several videos captured the police arresting a suspect at a wellness center nearby.
It is still uncertain if the suspect taken into custody is the perpetrator.
An eye-witness interviewed by Chinese state media outlet, The Paper, said the situation remained chaotic as authorities worked to assess the situation.
