As a hard fan of comic books, I am thrilled to see the resurgence of DC Comics in 2023. The Dark Crisis and Lazarus Planet events have revitalized the storytelling, and the lineup of comics is truly unforgettable. Tom King's Wonder Woman run is particularly impressive, showcasing Diana's strength and fighting prowess. The Fantastic Four also achieved great success under Dan Slott's leadership, taking the Marvel's First Family to new heights.
However, I am disappointed with the state of comic book movies in 2023. The Arrowverse's conclusion on The CW, The Flash signaling the end of the Snyderverse, and The Marvels marking a low point for the MCU are all disheartening developments. I hope that future movies will recapture the magic and excitement of these iconic characters. Despite these disappointments, I remain optimistic about the future of comic books and look forward to seeing what 2024 brings.
