Top and bottom superhero films of 2023, featuring Aquaman 2

Aquaman 2, also known as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, secures its spot on the list of top superhero films of 2023, as per Rotten Tomatoes' ratings

The release of Aquaman 2, also known as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, has finalized our list of the best superhero movies for 2023. Despite its initial modest opening, the movie has underperformed commercially, being overshadowed by Wonka at the global box office, which is now in theaters.

The Dexerto review is now available, stating that "there are some decent thrills and laughs along the way – Momoa and Wilson make for an effective buddy cop pairing – and the aquatic visuals are dazzling (especially in 3D). But Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom crams so many subplots into its 2-hour runtime that it’s more cruise ship than speedboat."

Editor's P/S

As an enthusiastic fan of superhero movies, I am thrilled to see the release of Aquaman 2, also known as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its stunning visuals and exciting action sequences, while others criticizing its cluttered plot and lack of emotional depth. Despite the mixed reviews, I am eager to see the movie for myself and form my own opinion. I am a big fan of Jason Momoa's portrayal of Aquaman, and I am excited to see him return to the role. I am also curious to see how the movie will explore the underwater world of Atlantis and introduce new characters and storylines.

While I am disappointed that Aquaman 2 has received lower ratings than some of the other superhero movies released this year, I am still hopeful that it will be an enjoyable and entertaining experience. I believe that superhero movies should be judged on their own merits, and I am willing to give Aquaman 2 a chance before making a final judgment. I am confident that the movie will have something to offer fans of the genre, and I am looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.
