Tonari no Yokai-san release window
On November 29, the manga’s official YouTube channel announced that Tonari no Yokai-san will premiere in April 2024.
The Twitter post revealed that the anime will begin broadcasting in April 2024, alongside a key visual of the main characters, the main cast and production crew.
Tonari no Yokai-san plot
Noho’s Tonari no Yokai-san is a 4-koma manga consisting of tales from Japanese folklore.
The first story centers around Buchio, a 20-year-old cat who undergoes a sudden transformation into a mythical nekomata creature with two tails. Confused by his new form, Buchio teams up with a fox named Yuri to uncover the cause of his transformation. They begin their quest by enrolling in a Bakegaku, a school for unconventional creatures.
Cast and crew
The anime adaptation of Tonari no Yokai-san will be directed by Aimi Yamauchi, produced by studio LIDEN FILMS. The character designer is Jiko Abe from My Senpai is Annoying, with series composition by Tomoko Konparu. The musical score will be created by Avex Music Creative Blue Bird’s Nest.
