Tom Brady took the time to honor the mothers of his children, especially after they endured some uncomfortable jokes at his Netflix roast recently.
The 46-year-old former NFL quarterback shared a series of photos on Instagram on Mother's Day, May 12, celebrating the strong moms in his life. This includes his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen and ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Brady took to Instagram to express his gratitude and appreciation for the incredible mothers in his life. He shared heartfelt messages and photos of his mom Galynn, sisters Maureen, Julie, and Nancy, as well as his ex-partner Moynahan and wife Bündchen with their children.
Brady is a proud father to son Jack, 16, with Moynahan, and son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with Bündchen. Despite his past relationships, Brady and Moynahan continue to co-parent their son with love and respect, even after their split in 2006 when he started dating Bündchen.
Brady and Bündchen got married in February 2009. After 13 years of marriage, they decided to announce their divorce in October 2022. Despite this, they both share joint custody of their children and continue to reside in Florida.
Brady took to Instagram to share a message following the announcement of their separation. He expressed gratitude for their amazing children, emphasizing that they will always be the top priority in their lives.
On Sunday, May 5, Brady was featured in Netflix's The Roast of Tom Brady, where his NFL career and personal life were humorously targeted. Comedians like Kevin Hart, Jeff Ross, and Nikki Glaser took aim at Brady's famous exes, particularly Bündchen's relationship with her Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, which she confirmed in March.
During the roast, Ross, 58, joked about Brady having so many rings that he could melt them down to forge a sword for a quest to win back Gisele from her jiu-jitsu teacher. Glaser, 39, humorously remarked that it must be tough for Brady to know that his ex-wife's new boyfriend can beat him up while enjoying her company.
Hart, 44, appeared to joke about Bündchen meeting Valente while she was still married to Brady. He teased Brady, saying, "Jesus Christ, Tom. One of the smartest quarterbacks who ever played the game. How did you not see this coming? Eight karate classes a day." He continued, "Eight karate classes a day and she’s still a white belt. F–k Tom. The only bruises she had were on her ass. Everybody should have known it."
In response, Bündchen denied cheating on Brady with Valente, stating to The New York Times in March, "That is a lie."
Many women who find the strength to leave a toxic relationship often face unfair blame and are unfairly labeled as unfaithful, according to Bündchen. This can lead to challenges within their communities and families. Bündchen shared that in her case, these challenges were magnified.

She added, “No one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship.”
Moynahan also had to endure a few mild roast jokes, as Glaser made a comparison between her and Brady's relationship and his retirement.
"Tom, you're truly the GOAT when it comes to playing for too long," she teased. "You retired, then made a comeback, and retired again. I understand, it's not easy to walk away from something that isn't your pregnant girlfriend. It's a challenge."
Will Ferrell even joined in on the fun, joking, "The last time this guy got really serious, he ended up having to pay child support to Bridget Moynahan."
After the roast aired, the actress shared a mysterious message on Instagram, reposting a quote that said, "People who are loyal take things more personally because they would never have done that to you."
“So true,” she wrote.
Brady appeared uneasy at times during the comedy special but seemed to let jokes aimed at Moynahan and Bündchen slide.
