One year after calling it quits, Tom Brady and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen are still a united front when it comes to raising their two children.
According to a source speaking exclusively to We, Tom and Gisele have successfully managed their co-parenting relationship, prioritizing their children's needs despite the end of their marriage. Brady, 46, and Bündchen, 43, have two children together, son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 11. In addition, Brady is also the father of 16-year-old son Jack, from a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Brady has been co-parenting with Moynahan, 52, since Jack's birth in August 2007. Now, it seems that Brady and Bündchen's part-time parenting approach is similar to the one he has with Moynahan. Brady and Moynahan ended their relationship in late 2006, before Jack was born. "Their children spend an equal amount of time with both parents, which works out well for everyone," says the insider about the retired NFL player and Bündchen's friendly dynamic.
According to the source, Brady and the model "have very healthy communication between them," and are able to discuss their children's needs in a really mature way.
Tom Brady celebrated with his children during halftime at the New England Patriots' home opening game on September 10, 2023. The celebrations honored the former Patriots' quarterback. The tension between Brady and Bündchen reportedly began after Brady's brief retirement from the NFL in February 2022, followed by his return for a 23rd season, leading to the couple living separately and hiring divorce lawyers in October 2022.
Brady announced their divorce in October 2022, expressing on Instagram that the decision to end their 13-year marriage was "painful and difficult." Bündchen later clarified to Vanity Fair that the divorce was not due to Brady's return to football, and she emphasized her unwavering support for him, wanting nothing more than his happiness and the fulfillment of his dreams.
As their divorce reached its one-year anniversary, Brady revealed his focus on avoiding negative attention. "Being in the public eye so much, I always strive to choose my words carefully," he said on a podcast episode in October. "I don't want any more drama in my life. I already have enough."
The next month, Bündchen posted a message on Instagram about facing challenges and heartbreak. "We never truly know the struggles that others are going through, the fear they face, the obstacles they encounter, or the ups and downs of their daily lives."
In November, she remarked, "In our everyday lives, we might overlook the opportunity to offer a simple, kind word or gesture to someone in need. I truly believe that one act of kindness can ignite a chain reaction of more kindness, which is exactly what the world needs right now."

After their separation, Bündchen and Brady have been in the spotlight for their romantic relationships. Rumors surfaced that the former Victoria’s Secret model was romantically involved with her Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente after they were seen together in November 2022. Bündchen has chosen not to address the rumors publicly.
Brady, on the other hand, was rumored to be dating Irina Shayk in July after they were both seen at Michael Rubin's Independence Day celebration in the Hamptons. Their fast-paced romance ended in the fall, with a source revealing exclusively to Us in October that they had split up.
