Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has urgently requested police intervention in Nigeria. In a widely circulated complaint letter filed on Tuesday, she raised concerns against Grammy-nominated artist Davido. The Nigeria Police Force confirmed receiving the hand-delivered letter at its headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State, and has launched an investigation into the matter.
In the letter to the Commissioner of Police in Nigeria, the artist known as "Koroba", whose real name is Tiwatope Omolara Savage, outlined what she referred to as a "troubling situation" between her and David Adedeji Adeleke, also known as Davido.

How Davidos fourth-studio album Timeless is both a comeback and a healing story
Savage stated that she had uploaded an Instagram story on December 23 featuring herself and internet personality Sophia Momodu, who is the mother of Davido's first child. Following the post, Savage claimed that Davido sent messages to her manager, who is also part of his management team, instructing her not to worry and to never speak a word to him. He also accused her of taunting him and using disrespectful, malicious, and derogatory language towards him.
After Davido's 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, tragically passed away on Halloween in 2022, the woman stated that she had informed Davido not to contact her, especially considering the support she had provided for him and his daughter, Imade, and most importantly during his son's passing.
Savage continued to express that the incidents on December 23 "have prompted numerous calls and messages from our shared acquaintances, inquiring about my actions towards MR. DAVID ADELEKE, who is evidently displeased that I have chosen to sustain a relationship with Imade's mother, Sophia Momodu, with whom he is having difficulties, and has distorted the interaction to make it seem like I was the instigator."

Afrobeats rise to global domination is documented by a photographer who captures the musical phenomenon. "He has even asked our shared acquaintances to caution me about being cautious in Lagos, as he intended to harm me," she added.
Savage expressed, "This situation is starting to seem like a type of harassment, both online and offline, not only towards me but also towards my team members."
She characterized Davidos behavior as "unethical and could be interpreted as a direct violation of my rights to life, privacy, and dignity."
CNN has contacted Davido's representatives for a statement. The disagreement with Davido coincides with the announcement by Amazon Studios on Wednesday that Savage will be starring in the Nigerian film "Water and Garri," slated to premier on Prime Video internationally later this year.
Savage takes on the role of Aisha, an ambitious fashion designer in her first acting role. Aisha returns to her hometown after a decade in the United States, where she must confront the guilt of her past and reconnect with loved ones, as stated in a press release.
Tiwa Savage is to star in Nigerian movie "Water and Garri," which will launch on Prime Video.
Everything Savage
Savage served as the executive producer for the film, which was filmed in Cape Coast, Ghana, and features music by the artist. Prior to this, Savage co-wrote and performed two tracks on "The Lion King: The Gift," the soundtrack curated by Beyoncé for Disney's 2019 remake of "The Lion King."
In 2018, the Nigerian singer made history as the first woman to win the Best African Act category at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Then in 2019, she signed a global deal with Universal Music Group. The following year, she was featured on Davidos song "Tanana" and in December 2021, she performed at the "A decade of Davido" concert in Lagos. Social media videos from the event captured her revealing that she once shared an apartment with the fellow music star after moving back to Nigeria from London.
Davido, who released his fourth studio album, "Timeless," last year is due to kick off his album tour in London on January 28.
