Timothée Chalamet playfully suggests he could have been a French Ken doll in 'Barbie'

Timothée Chalamet humorously ponders his potential as a French-speaking Ken in the upcoming movie 'Barbie,' leaving us curious about the charm and wit he could bring to the iconic character

We'll never know what Timothée Chalamet's performance in "Barbie" would have been like. The "Wonka" actor revealed during a recent interview on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that he had a cameo that never materialized.

Chalamet confirmed that there had been talks about him and Saoirse Ronan making a brief appearance in this year's blockbuster movie.

"We had talked about doing a cameo," Chalamet revealed. "I'm not sure what it would have been. Maybe one of the rejected Ken or Barbie dolls. Not Alan. Possibly a rejected French one at some point."

Chalamet filmed "Wonka" at the Warner Bros. UK set while "Barbie" was also being filmed there. Warner Bros. is owned by the parent company of CNN.

Director Greta Gerwig, who has previously worked with Ronan and Chalamet in her 2017 film "Lady Bird," expressed her attempt to reunite the two actors on screen in "Barbie" during an interview with "Hollywood First Look."

"Neither of them were able to do it," Gerwig disclosed. "But Timothée did visit the set and later remarked, I should have been in this. And I agreed, asking why he wasn't in it."

"Wonka" is currently showing in theaters.
