During an Instagram Live on Tuesday, November 7, Timbaland, 51, expressed his regret and apologized to Britney Spears and her fans. He also acknowledged a comment from a fan about his attitude towards women, affirming his commitment to respecting them.

The producer faced criticism from fans after his remarks at the “Sounds Architects: A Producer Conversation” panel at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. last month resurfaced. In the video, which was circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter), Timbaland commented on Justin Timberlake's song "Cry Me a River" and its connection to Britney Spears' memoir, The Woman in Me. Timbaland referred to Spears as "going crazy" and expressed his thought of contacting Timberlake to advise him to control her behavior.

In her memoir, released in October, Spears delved deep into her relationship with Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002. Within the pages of the book, she made the claim that Timberlake had pushed her to undergo an abortion when she discovered she was carrying their child.

"I consented to not having the baby," she penned. "If the decision had been solely mine, I would have never taken that path. However, Justin was resolute in his desire to not become a father."

Both parties accused each other of cheating, although the "Señorita" singer suggested in 2003 that her infidelity had led to the end of their relationship. A lookalike of Spears was hired to depict Timberlake's unfaithful girlfriend in the music video for "Cry Me a River."

In a text message, Timberlake terminated their relationship, according to Spears. She expressed feeling like she had been portrayed as the "temptress who shattered the heart of America's beloved leading man," while she was left "in a state of shock" and deeply heartbroken by their breakup. "I was emotionally numb in Louisiana, while he happily roamed around Hollywood," she wrote.

According to a reliable source, We have been informed that Timberlake is feeling “disappointed” about Spears' decision to reveal their past issues after more than twenty years. Another insider mentioned that Justin deeply regrets causing pain to Britney, considering that he was young at the time. Additionally, he believes that Britney has every right to share her side of the story and is hopeful that they can now move forward. Prior to the book's release, Spears clarified that she did not intend to offend anyone with her memoir.

On October 20, she wrote via Instagram, "The purpose of my book was never to offend anyone in any way. That was me in the past, and now I am moving forward from it. It's a fresh start, and I intend to maintain this clean slate for the rest of my life. Regardless, that chapter is behind me and unfortunate things happen. Surprisingly, this book turned out to be something I didn't realize was necessary, although it may be provocative to some. Nonetheless, it has provided me with closure and the hope of a better future."

Although Spears has made claims about their relationship, Timberlake has not addressed them publicly. However, he disabled comments on his Instagram following the release of the book.
