Tiffany Haddish bravely opened up about her fertility challenges and the heartbreaking experiences of miscarriage.

In a candid interview with The Washington Post, the 43-year-old comedian shared her struggles to conceive, revealing a poignant conversation she had with a nurse. "I'll be completely honest," she admitted, "this would actually be my eighth miscarriage."

Haddish had initially chosen not to openly speak about her experiences with pregnancy loss. She expressed that her uterus, shaped like a heart, has been unable to sustain pregnancies. Concerned about people constantly checking on her well-being, she preferred to retreat to a solitary cave to heal her emotional wounds.

Recently, the Haunted Mansion actress opened up about the profound emotional impact her previous miscarriages have had on her.

“I have experienced numerous miscarriages, which can be attributed to both endometriosis and misdiagnosis,” she revealed in the latest episode of Rachel Bilson’s insightful podcast, "Broad Ideas." Each miscarriage has been an incredibly painful and heart-wrenching experience. It feels as if a part of my soul perishes with every loss. Perhaps, these heartbreaking events serve as a divine form of birth control, a signal from a higher power that the person I was involved with is not meant to be the father of my child."

In a November 2020 episode of Common's "Mind Power Mixtape" podcast, Haddish expressed her desire to adopt and teach survival skills to children aged 6 to 10. She believes this age range is ideal for shaping their minds as they are still malleable until the age of 21.

Haddish revealed that she had delayed her plans to expand her family before news of the couple's separation emerged in November 2021. She explained that her growing business demanded her full attention, and she believed that when taking in a child, it was vital to be fully dedicated to their care. Haddish expressed her desire to personally nurture and provide the child with her wisdom and affection.

Haddish expressed her desire to complete some remaining tasks before fully dedicating herself to starting a family. While she acknowledges the responsibilities of caring for a dog and tending to a garden, she emphasizes the importance of being present and personally responsible for another human being. Haddish is enthusiastic about the prospect of starting a family and eagerly anticipates the journey ahead.

"I love sharing my knowledge and seeing it come alive through their actions and talents," she said. "It's also amazing to have someone to enjoy TV and laughter with, someone who thinks I'm cool. Even though it's only for a short time, children have their own thoughts and perspectives. Additionally, it's fulfilling to pass on my recipes and experience this life and journey together. I want to be a guiding light and a comforting presence for them."
