Has the long-standing feud between Tiffani Thiessen and Jennie Garth finally come to an end? The former costars of Beverly Hills, 90210 gathered for a group photo at a dinner party hosted by Real Housewives of New York City alumni Bethenny Frankel on Tuesday, October 17.
“A dinner just because… Thank you for an amazing evening, ladies. Still cleaning up after all the tea mishaps,” Frankel, 52, wrote alongside the photo, which she posted on Instagram on Wednesday, October 18. (Aside from Thiessen, 49, and Garth, 51, other stars including NeNe Leakes from Real Housewives of Atlanta, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss from Vanderpump Rules, Larsa Pippen from Real Housewives of Miami, and former Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke were also captured in the picture.)
One commenter expressed their surprise upon seeing both Thiessen and Garth present at the intimate gathering.
"Can you believe that Jennie Garth and Tiffani Amber Thiessen were seen together at the same dinner?" exclaimed an Instagram user.
There has been speculation about the complex relationship between Thiessen and Garth throughout the years. In a 2012 interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM Show, Thiessen revealed that her female co-stars on Beverly Hills, 90210 were not welcoming when she joined the cast for season 5 in 1994. However, after Garth apologized for her past behavior, the two of them developed a strong friendship, Thiessen disclosed.
The former cast member of Saved By the Bell expressed her astonishment at the former close bond between the two, mentioning that she witnessed Garth giving birth to her first child. However, when questioned about the cause of their strained relationship, Thiessen chose not to elaborate.
“We had a falling out and we grew apart,” Thiessen said. “I was the one who was hurt, let’s just say that. I was the one who was hurt.”
She expressed, "It's interesting how our relationship had a rough beginning and ended similarly... But I have moved on and I genuinely wish her the best."
After several years, Garth refuted any claims of disrespect towards Thiessen when they both appeared as guest judges on RuPaul's Drag Race in May 2017, alongside Tori Spelling. The episode showcased a drag queen portraying Thiessen's character from 90210, Valerie Malone. Interestingly, Garth appeared unable to utter Thiessen's name.
Garth asked, "How do you pronounce it, Ti?" before Spelling, 50, interjected, saying, "Just say, 'That which we don't speak of.'" In July, Garth told Us that it was simply a "strange editing" mistake.
"I promise you, I was actually referring to the actress who portrayed Valerie. She had a very sophisticated name like Doolarey, but I couldn't recall it correctly, and it looked different when it was presented," she explained. Garth also mentioned that she had recently run into Thiessen and engaged in some casual conversation.
Garth created a buzz recently when she expressed mixed feelings about Thiessen joining the Beverly Hills, 90210 cast after Shannon Doherty's departure from the show in the previous season. "I recall wondering, 'Why are they introducing this girl?' We were doing well and I didn't understand why someone was being brought in to replace Brenda's character. I was probably not very receptive to that idea," commented Garth during an episode of her and Spelling's rewatch podcast "9021OMG" in August.
