Retired postman Rodney Holbrook installed cameras in his shed in an attempt to identify the individual responsible for tidying up his shed on a nightly basis. "I noticed that the food I was putting out for the birds was ending up in some old shoes I had stored in the shed, so I decided to set up a camera to see what was happening," stated Holbrook, who resides in Builth Wells, a small town in central Wales located about 60 miles north of the capital city Cardiff.

The camera footage showed the mouse transporting items such as screwdrivers, clothes pegs, and pieces of cable in its mouth, and climbing into boxes that were almost as tall as itself.

Holbrook was amazed to see the mouse tidying up, organizing various items into a box. "I don't bother tidying up anymore," he said, confident that the mouse will take care of it. Certain items, such as a long cable, posed a challenge for the tiny Marie Kondo.

Holbrook was amazed by the footage, noting that the mouse tidied away things in an unusually meticulous manner. He even joked that the mouse might tidy away his wife if he left her in there. He mentioned that this has been happening almost every night for the past two months.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Holbrook has encountered a tidy mouse. He shared with the BBC that in 2019, he installed a night-vision camera for a friend which revealed another mouse keeping his friend's shed organized.
