In a remarkable streak, Manchester United will once again face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup fourth-round, a rematch of last season's final. This comes as United, the current holders, continue their unprecedented sequence of securing their 12th consecutive home cup tie. Newcastle, seeking redemption after their 2-0 defeat in the previous final, advanced to this stage by defeating eight-time champions Manchester City thanks to Alexander Isak's second-half goal at St James' Park.

Manchester United's latest draw in a domestic cup competition is worth noting as it extends their impressive streak of being drawn at home. This remarkable run, dating back to March 2021, is believed to be a new record in British football history. As for Liverpool, they secured a victory over Leicester, which grants them an away match against Bournemouth in the upcoming fourth round.

Liverpool leveled the score in the second half with Cody Gakpo's equalizer, responding to Leicester's early lead from Kasey McAteer. Dominik Szoboszlai and Jota then secured the victory for Liverpool, propelling them to the next round of the competition.

Bournemouth triumphed over Stoke in a 2-0 victory at home, thanks to two goals within three minutes in the second half. Dominic Solanke found the back of the net, followed by Joe Rothwell's successful free-kick.

West Ham won against Lincoln at Sincil Bank with Tomas Soucek's only goal in the second half and will face Arsenal at home in the fourth round.

Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory against Brentford on Wednesday night, thanks to Reiss Nelson's early goal.

Chelsea secured a draw at home against Blackburn, thanks to Nicolas Jackson's strike in the second half, which ultimately led to a 1-0 victory over Brighton.

Blackburn emphatically defeated Cardiff 5-2, with Andrew Moran netting two goals in the latter half of the match.

Blackburn's initial goal from Jake Garrett was nullified by Callum Robinson. After Arnor Sigurdsson recaptured the lead for the home side, Kion Etete equalized for Cardiff before halftime.

In the second half, Moran scored two goals within five minutes, granting Blackburn control. These goals were scored alongside Sigurdsson's penalty being saved. Dilan Markanday later added Blackburn's fifth goal.

Everton will face Burnley, the former club of their boss Sean Dyche, at Goodison Park in the last 16 after securing a 2-1 victory against Aston Villa. James Garner scored the opening goal in the first half, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin added another goal, marking his second consecutive match with a goal. Despite Boubacar Kamara's late goal for Villa, Everton maintained their lead.

Fulham will have a challenging match ahead as they take on Ipswich, who are currently performing well in the Championship. This comes after Fulham secured a 2-1 victory over Norwich.

Fulham took control of the game with goals from Brazilian Carlos Vinicius and Alex Iwobi, one in each half, before Borja Sainz of Norwich managed to narrow the gap.

Mansfield, a League Two team, will be playing against League One side Port Vale at Field Mill, ensuring a lower league club a spot in the quarter-finals. On the other hand, Exeter, a League One team, will be hosting Middlesbrough at home in their quest for a place in the last eight.
