HBO's popular TV series "The White Lotus" is officially coming to Thailand for its third season. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and HBO confirmed that filming will take place in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui, with production kicking off in February.
The TAT is already looking forward to the "White Lotus" spotlight and has partnered with HBO for the filming and promotion of the award-winning show, despite the third installment not set to air until 2025.
"We are thrilled to have Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of The White Lotus," said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, in a press release.

A role for the Four Seasons?
In a statement, Janet Graham Borba, EVP of production at HBO & Max, expressed her satisfaction with the partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to bring to life Mike's creative vision and highlight the stunning attractions of Thailand as the new guests arrive at the White Lotus.
Season 2 of "The White Lotus" was set on Sicily.
Thailand, a globally renowned tourist hotspot, is a fitting choice for the setting of the show. As fans of the popular series are aware, the first two seasons were filmed in luxurious hotels in Hawaii and Sicily.
In both seasons, guests and employees at a luxurious resort undergo a life-changing week as the reality behind their seemingly perfect lives is revealed. The hidden truths behind Sicily's White Lotus hotel are exposed, showcasing the raw and authentic side of its glamorous facade.
The fictional White Lotus resort was featured in both destinations, with season one taking place at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, and season two filming at the clifftop San Domenico Palace, a five-star resort in Taormina, Sicily operated by Four Seasons.
There has been much speculation online in recent months that season three will take place at one of Thailand's four Four Seasons properties, situated in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Koh Samui, and Bangkok. The luxury hotel resort brand is currently neither confirming nor denying the rumors, with a press representative telling CNN Travel that they are not commenting at the moment.
Whos coming to Thailand?
However, there is one potential clue: The website for Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui indicates that there is no availability at the resort at all from early February through the last week of March.
Following the conclusion of season one of "White Lotus," numerous fans were dismayed to discover that the characters would not be returning for a second round. Nevertheless, Jennifer Coolidge made a comeback to portray the beloved but oblivious wealthy traveler Tanya.
HBO has now unveiled a fresh lineup of actors for the anthology's third season, and has also confirmed the return of Natasha Rothwell in her role as Belinda, the spa manager at the White Lotus resort in Hawaii.
HBO, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, has announced additional cast members for season three, including Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, and Tayme Thapthimthong.
