In this new installment, the story will revolve around Daryl's quest to uncover how he found himself in Europe, with actor Reedus hinting that it was not by his own volition. Daryl faces difficulties in finding a way back to America, as his relationships with the resilient survivors in France pose obstacles to his plans.

Fans of The Walking Dead may find the idea of shifting the show's location familiar, as they have previously witnessed survival stories set in various places such as the woods of Georgia, a university in Nebraska, the sunny streets of Los Angeles, Mexico, and more.
