AMC has released the first trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, featuring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira returning as Rick Grimes and Michonne as they navigate a new world in search of each other.
Set to premiere on February 25 on AMC and AMC+, The Ones Who Live will follow the journey of Rick and Michonne as they seek to reunite. While Rick was presumed dead after Season 9 of the original Walking Dead series, Michonne departed in Season 10 to find him. Watch the new trailer below.
"The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live tells the compelling love story of two individuals transformed by a world in turmoil. Despite being separated by distance, an unstoppable force, and the shadows of their past selves, Rick and Michonne find themselves thrust into a new reality defined by a battle against the undead... and ultimately, a struggle against the living," as stated in the official show synopsis.
The Ones Who Live is set to be a six-episode series and marks the sixth spin-off from The Walking Dead. Another spin-off centered on Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a second season, featuring actress Melissa McBride reprising her role as Carol. Additionally, Negan and Maggie will be featured in Isle of the Dead.
There is also a new game coming out later this year called The Walking Dead: Destinies, which lets you relive the first four seasons of the original show.
Editor's P/S
As a devoted fan of "The Walking Dead," I am thrilled about the release of the first trailer for "The Ones Who Live." The return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira as Rick Grimes and Michonne is a dream come true. The trailer promises an emotional and action-packed journey as they navigate a new world in search of each other. The chemistry between Lincoln and Gurira is undeniable, and I can't wait to see how their characters evolve in this new chapter of the franchise.
The trailer also hints at the challenges Rick and Michonne will face as they confront the undead and the living. The post-apocalyptic realm they inhabit is both dangerous and unforgiving, and they must rely on their strength and resilience to survive. The trailer also teases the reunion between Rick and Michonne, which is sure to be a pivotal moment in the series. Overall, I am incredibly excited about "The Ones Who Live" and can't wait to see what the future holds for Rick and Michonne.
