The chapter delved deeper into Char's backstory and her clan, Kyonagi. It was revealed to fans that consuming the flesh of a Kyonagi could potentially bestow immortality, although this was possibly just a myth. Nevertheless, this belief led to the demise of many individuals. However, the true power of Kyonagi lay in their remarkable ability to regenerate instantaneously.
One of the sorcerers speculated that Sojo was in search of Char due to her remarkable ability to regenerate. Mocking Char, the sorcerer insinuated that her blood was to be blamed for her predicament. In that critical moment, Chihiro swiftly regained his composure and launched a fierce counterattack against the sorcerer with his trusty short blade.

Nishiki's reach extended far and wide, obliterating all the puppets and clones while ultimately ending the puppet master's life. Chihiro speculated that Char had initially doubted him, which is why she had kept her past hidden.
However, Chihiro also noticed that the young girl had started to trust him, as she had nearly confided in him about her secret during their car ride. The chapter concluded with the protagonist offering the little girl a piece of bread and expressing deep remorse for the immense suffering she had endured.
