Good Omens season 2 will embark on a fresh adventure for Aziraphale and Crowley. Initially planned as a six-episode limited series, the popular Prime Video show, centered around angel Aziraphale (portrayed by Michael Sheen) and his close companion, the demon Crowley (played by David Tennant), as they strive to avert Armageddon, is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's 1990 novel with the identical title.
Following widespread acclaim and the release of a special episode titled Good Omens: Lockdown amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the streaming platform pleasantly shocked fans with the news that the show would be making a comeback for a second season. This new installment will showcase an entirely fresh narrative for the unanticipated pair.
Neil discussed how he and Terry Pratchett extensively brainstormed future storylines, although they never took the time to put them into writing. Michael Sheen, speaking to Collider in July 2023, shared that Neil already had a substantial amount of material stored in his mind. The collaboration between Sheen, David Tennant, and Neil in bringing the characters to life and developing the storylines has been incredibly fulfilling. Neil's skill in making the process feel collaborative, even when he knows exactly what he wants, has been noteworthy. Read on for all the details on what to expect in Good Omens season 2.
