The Origin of The Beasts Pirates
The history of the Thousand Beasts Pirates traces back to their captain, the formidable Kaidou. Born and raised in the struggling Vodka Kingdom, a nation grappling to meet the World Government's Heavenly Tribute, Kaidou's immense strength surpassed that of anyone in the kingdom by the tender age of 10. Consequently, the kingdom's king sold him to the Marine. Unsurprisingly, Kaidou chose to elude his captors and embarked on a relentless spree, becoming a fugitive at the age of 15.
Kaidou's unimaginable power caught the attention of the celebrated and perilous Rocks pirates, one of the most formidable pirate crews of that era. In due course, he joined their ranks alongside renowned figures like Whitebeard and Big Mom. Following numerous conquests and acts of destruction, the God Valley incident occurred, ultimately leading to the dissolution of the Rocks pirates, leaving each member to their own devices. Whitebeard formed the Whitebeard pirates, Big Mom initiated her notorious Big Mom pirates, and Kaidou established the Beasts pirates.
The Executives
:Initially, Kaidou recruited only a select few formidable individuals to join his newly-formed pirate crew, including King, Queen, and Jack. However, over time, the crew expanded significantly. Within the following decade, the Beasts Pirates had established themselves as one of the most formidable and treacherous pirate crews worldwide, leading the Marines to designate Kaidou as one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. Nonetheless, it wasn't until their forcible takeover of Wano Country, transforming it into their operational headquarters, that the Beast Pirates burgeoned into a fleet of 20,000 relentless pirates.
In Kaidou's era, each pirate crew of the Four Emperors (Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Red Hair) had its own organizational structure. Whitebeard established 16 divisions that were formed based on merit and accomplishment. On the other hand, Big Mom's Commanders and Officers were chosen based on their power and familial ties. Meanwhile, the Thousand Beasts Pirates emphasized strength above all else, where the strong occupied the top positions while the weak remained subordinate.
The Beasts Pirates, like any other pirate crew, revolve around their captain, the Governor-General, Kaidou. Kaidou's three generals, known as the All-Stars (King, Queen, and Jack), hold the highest ranking positions below him. These three individuals are the most powerful in the entire crew, comparable in strength to Marine Admirals.
Beneath each All-Star are the second-grade officers, known as the Headliners. Many of these officers possess devil fruit abilities. The six strongest Headliners, referred to as the Tobiroppo (Page One, Black Maria, Ulti, Sasaki, Who’s-who, and X Drake), serve as the leaders among the Headliners. Additionally, conquered pirates like Hawkins and Apoo have also joined the ranks of the Headliners.
The Soldiers
- The Beasts Pirates derive their formidable might from not only Kaido, but also the All-Stars, the Headliners, and the Tobiropppo. Although their numbers may be relatively small, comprising just a few hundred individuals, their combined strength surpasses that of any other pirate crew. However, if they are to challenge the World Government and the Marines, as Kaido intends, they will need to bolster their forces. And this is precisely where the next group enters the scene.
The headliners lead three primary groups of soldiers: the Gifters, the Pleasures, and the Waiters. The Gifters, consisting of approximately 500 individuals, have consumed and mastered artificial zoan devil fruit powers. While their strength may vary, they are notably more formidable than the average pirate.
The Pleasures, numbering around 4500, are individuals who have consumed artificial devil fruits but have not gained any significant powers. While not as formidable as the Gifters, they still hold value as loyal soldiers. The Waiters, on the other hand, are a large group of low-level soldiers eagerly awaiting their turn to consume artificial devil fruits.
In addition to these three main groups, the Beast Pirates also have various elite divisions with specific roles and responsibilities. These include the Armored Division, the surveillance unit known as the Marys, and a group of ten giants called the Numbers. The Invasion of Wano
The Thousand Beasts Pirates, widely regarded as one of the most formidable and ruthless pirate crews in history, have inflicted numerous heinous acts over the years. However, their most infamous transgression lies in the audacious invasion and subsequent occupation of the sacred Wano Country.
Approximately a decade after the infamous God Valley incident, which set the stage for the rise of the Thousand Beasts Pirates, a member of the disgraced Kurozumi family, native to Wano, approached the formidable pirate known as Kaidou with a sinister proposal. In return for assisting in the conquest of Wano and establishing elaborate weapon factories within its borders, they requested Kaidou's aid in installing Kurozumi Orochi as the new Shogun of Wano. Overwhelmed by the allure of such a tantalizing offer, Kaidou eagerly embraced it.
After years of deception and betrayal, Orochi successfully overthrew the ruling Kozuki family and became the Shogun. With the powerful backing of the Thousand Beast Pirates, Orochi instilled fear in anyone who opposed him.
Although Orochi held the title of Shogun, it was widely known that Kaidou was the true power behind the scenes in Wano. As the leader of the Thousand Beast Pirates, Kaidou wasted no time in subjugating the people of Wano and forcing them into labor in his weapon factories. Anyone who dared to resist faced brutal punishments and lifelong imprisonment. The rest of the population lived in constant fear, barely scraping by.
For more than two decades, this horrifying situation persisted until the arrival of the Straw Hat pirates in the country.
