The anime industry faced a significant setback ten years ago when two of the major shonen series came to an end. However, new series like My Hero Academia emerged to fill the void. This show has garnered immense popularity due to its unique combination of lightheartedness and darkness, as well as its exploration of the superhero genre. Additionally, My Hero Academia stands out with its innovative power system, making it one of the most distinct anime series. In this world, nearly all humans possess a Quirk, which grants them unique abilities.
Those who utilize their Quirks for malicious purposes are known as Villains, while the responsibility of protecting the innocent falls upon the Pro Heroes. Although attention in most shonen narratives predominantly focuses on male heroes, My Hero Academia also showcases numerous powerful female heroes.
10 Thirteen
Thirteen, a skilled Pro Hero, specializes in rescue missions rather than regular battles against villains. However, she is willing to fight when the situation calls for it. Despite her fervent dedication to saving people, it is ironic that she possesses a highly lethal and potent Quirk.
Her Quirk, Black Hole, grants her the ability to emulate the suction force of a black hole using her hands. This extraordinary power is so immense that even light cannot escape it. Anything drawn into her black hole is instantly disintegrated, requiring her to exercise great caution when utilizing it.
9 Uravity
Uravity has a preference for performing rescue operations, although she is also capable of combat. Initially known for her warm and cheerful demeanor, her character has developed into a more serious one throughout the series. In season 6, she played a crucial role in convincing the civilians to allow Deku's return to U.A. High School.
Her Zero Gravity Quirk grants her the power to counteract gravity's influence on solid objects through physical contact with her fingertips. This ability proves invaluable in debris clearance and restraining Villains. Furthermore, she has the capability to transform surrounding debris into a makeshift meteor storm, should the need arise.
8 Creati
Creati gained admission to U.A. High School based on a recommendation and currently holds the position of vice class representative in Class 1-A. She was recommended due to her exceptional combat skills and highly intelligent mind. Her strategic plan was the key in halting Gigantomachia's destructive rampage during the conflict with the Paranormal Liberation Front.
With the Creation Quirk, she can convert the fat cells in her body into any inanimate object or material, as long as she possesses a thorough understanding of its molecular composition. This unique ability proves immensely beneficial in terms of support, as it enables her to fabricate items that can counteract the effects of various other Quirks.
7 Nejire Chan
Nejire Chan, a third-year Pro Hero student, is an esteemed member of the Big Three at U.A. High School, showcasing her incredible strength. Known for her innate kindness and infectious cheerfulness, she undertakes an internship with Ryukyu. Despite her young age, her abilities rival those of experienced Pro Heroes.
Through tremendous effort, Nejire Chan has bolstered her stamina and durability to the point where she can utilize her Quirk without succumbing to exhaustion. Harnessing the power of her Wave Motion Quirk, she can convert her own vitality into a potent energy, utilizing it to unleash formidable shockwaves. These shockwaves not only grant her the ability to soar through the air but also amplify the impact behind her strikes, enhancing the effectiveness of her punches and kicks in close-quarters combat.
6 Midnight
Midnight, an educator at U.A., was renowned as the R-Rated Hero due to her distinctive dominatrix hero attire. With her sharp intellect, she wielded both a whip and specialized fans, making her a formidable adversary in close combat.
Her remarkable power, the Somnambulist Quirk, enabled her to emit a sleep-inducing scent from her body. However, this ability proved to be more effective on males than females. Despite sustaining grave injuries during the war against the Paranormal Liberation Front, Midnight valiantly eliminated multiple members before succumbing to her fate.
5 Mt. Lady
Initially appearing in MHA, Mt. Lady stood out as one of the first Pro Heroes. Currently ranked as Japan's No. 23 Pro Hero, she readily embraces the attention garnered for her heroic activities and doesn't shy away from utilizing her physical appearance to enhance her popularity.
However, it is crucial to emphasize that Mt. Lady is unwaveringly dedicated to her profession and would never jeopardize the safety of civilians when confronting Villains. Through her Gigantification Quirk, she can transform into a colossal 67ft giant, enabling her to deliver formidable punches and sweeping attacks. Notably, she showcased her prowess by effectively slowing down the rampaging Gigantomachia for a considerable duration by gripping onto him tightly.
4 Ryukyu
Ryukyu, currently ranked as Japan's No.10 Pro Hero, previously held the 9th spot. Apart from her impressive ranking, she is admired for her gentle and humble nature, especially her deep care for children and trainees. One of her most remarkable qualities is her ability to remain calm and composed in combat situations.
What truly sets her apart is her Dragon Quirk, which grants her the extraordinary ability to transform into a massive dragon. As this majestic creature, Ryukyu gains immense physical strength and unmatched durability. Although she cannot unleash fiery breath, she compensates with her exceptional flying abilities and delivers devastating attacks with her formidable claws and jaws.
3 Mirko
Mirko, the fifth-ranked Pro Hero, is renowned for her toughness and outspoken nature. Although she typically prefers to work solo, she is willing to join forces with other heroes when necessary. With her Rabbit Quirk, Mirko possesses extraordinary leg strength, enabling her to execute powerful jumps and kicks.
This exceptional ability also grants her increased agility, dexterity, and an impressive tolerance for pain. During the Jaku General Hospital raid, she single-handedly defeated numerous Nomu and later took on five High-Ends by herself. Despite losing an arm and a leg, she valiantly contributed to the defeat of Tomura Shigaraki in the Final War.
2 Star and Stripe
Star and Stripe idolized All Might for rescuing her during her childhood. Inspired by him, she pursued a career as a Pro Hero and eventually became the highest-ranking hero in her nation. Her ultimate objective is to uphold justice and safeguard others, which clarifies why she eagerly volunteered to assist Japan's heroes.
She possessed the unique New Order Quirk, enabling her to control herself and the environment by establishing fresh regulations. To activate this ability, she merely needed to touch the intended object or person and pronounce their name before imposing the new rules. Through this process, she could acquire new abilities for herself and manipulate her opponents' bodies.
1 Nana Shimura
Content Revision:
Nana Shimura, Tomura's grandmother, held the dual role of being both the 7th user of One For All and his relative. Possessing her own unique Quirk, she had the extraordinary ability to levitate in mid-air. Alongside her inherited superhuman strength, speed, durability, and reflexes from being an One For All user, she unfortunately lacked the capability to utilize the Quirks of previous users.
Although she may not have gained widespread recognition as a professional hero during her lifetime, Nana Shimura undeniably held the title of the most formidable hero in Japan during that era. Tragically, she met her demise while engaged in a solo battle against All For One, a feat that rightfully merits admiration and recognition.
