Fortnite has featured numerous Marvel and DC characters, but there are still plenty of fantastic options from both companies yet to be included. Given Fortnite's current status as a crossover hub, it wouldn't be surprising to see more Marvel and DC characters added in future seasons. With some of the biggest names already present in the game, Fortnite has become a major crossover between these two comic book giants. The possibilities for future crossovers between Fortnite and Marvel or DC are virtually endless.
In recent years, Fortnite has hosted several crossover events, attracting a wide range of licenses. From anime, cartoons, games, films, to even YouTube, various mediums have contributed to the appearance of these crossover characters as Fortnite skins. Marvel and DC properties have notably delivered some of the most significant crossovers. An entire season pass was dedicated to Marvel characters, along with a Thanos event and a crossover comic miniseries featuring Batman. These two comic book powerhouses continue to be the most reliable sources for Fortnite's crossovers.
Fortnite Could Still Have Many Quality Crossovers with Marvel and DC
Despite the Marvel-themed Battle Pass in Chapter 2 Season 4, there are still numerous Marvel characters awaiting their chance to join Fortnite. One character that immediately springs to mind is Nightcrawler, a beloved member of the X-Men known for his teleportation abilities. Given that his mother Mystique and sister Rogue are already present in the game, Nightcrawler would be a seamless addition. Another notable absence is the Fantastic Four, whose nemesis Dr. Doom has already made an appearance in the Battle Pass. Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch are just a few examples of the many potential Marvel heroes that could make their way into Fortnite.
While it could be argued that the addition of Superman has already reached a peak for potential DC crossovers in Fortnite, there is still an abundance of heroes within the DC Universe waiting to be introduced. Cyborg would be an excellent choice, considering that most of the renowned Teen Titans have already made their appearance. Additionally, none of the Green Lanterns have joined the Fortnite roster yet, making John Stewart and Kyle Rayner prime candidates to bring the hero to the game. DC also houses several other heroes such as Jaime Reyes and Crush, who have gained significant attention in recent years and could greatly benefit from the exposure that comes with being featured in Fortnite.
In addition to heroes, Marvel and DC offer an array of characters, as evidenced by the inclusion of villains in the Joker Bundle for Fortnite. Lex Luthor has already made an appearance in the Batman/Fortnite crossover comic, and being one of the most iconic villains in comics, he would be a natural fit. Two-Face, a foe of Batman, could also be a strong contender for inclusion. Turning to Marvel, Kingpin, a renowned villain who has clashed with numerous heroes, would be a suitable addition. However, the most significant addition could be Magneto, who, despite no longer being a villain, remains one of Marvel's most iconic characters.
Given Fortnite's consistent expansion of its roster, it would be unsurprising to see more crossovers in the game's future. The game has already incorporated a wide range of crossovers, encompassing properties such as My Hero Academia and the Wu-Tang Clan. This indicates that Fortnite is actively broadening its horizons by introducing new playable skins. It seems only a matter of time before more comic book characters make their debut in the game. Fortunately, both Marvel and DC have an abundance of potential crossovers to offer Fortnite, ensuring that the possibilities are endless.
Fortnite is available for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
