7 Entrance Exam Arc
This arc serves as an introduction to the world of My Hero Academia, setting the stage for the events that will unfold. It introduces readers to the main characters and their unique supernatural abilities, which have transformed their ordinary world into one ruled by heroes.
In this arc, the life of Izuku Midoriya takes an unexpected turn as he finally acquires a quirk after 14 years of living without one. He becomes the chosen recipient of All Might's powerful and transferable quirk, known as One For All. Midoriya embarks on his journey to become a hero at U.A. High, accompanied by supporting characters Bakugo, Uraraka, and Tenya.
6 Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ) Arc
During a practical class where Class 1-A students are meant to demonstrate and enhance their rescue skills, a sudden and unexpected appearance of real villains disrupts the session. These villains, namely Tomura Shigaraki, the League of Villains, and Nomus, present a terrifying threat to both the students and their world. With the sole objective of targeting All Might, their attacks are directed towards the students and their hero teachers, in hopes of luring him out.
This particular arc serves as an eye-opener for the students, revealing the true nature of villains and their relentless pursuit of their evil agendas. Despite being ill-prepared for such an assault, the students display unwavering resilience and put up a valiant fight. Amidst the chaos, Kirishima forms an unexpected bond with Bakugo, which gradually evolves into a deep and enduring friendship as the manga progresses.
5 U.A. Sports Festival Arc
This arc delves deeper into the character of Shoto Todoroki, establishing him as a prominent figure readers will undoubtedly develop an affinity for. Todoroki possesses the unique ability to wield both cold and hot powers, a result of his father Endeavour's relentless pursuit to create an offspring surpassing the strength of All Might. However, this determination comes at a great cost, as Todoroki grows to despise his father and his Flames quirk.
The U.A. Sports Festival shines a spotlight on the students of U.A. High, enabling them to showcase their abilities as both heroes and villains. It is during this festival that the League of Villains takes notice of Katsuki Bakugo, kidnapping him with the intention of recruiting him. In the meantime, Midoriya gains further insight into the One For All quirk, with All Might revealing his own past struggles as a quirkless individual.
4 Provisional Hero License Exam Arc
The Class 1-A students showcase their extensive training in preparation for the Provisional Hero License Exams, with the majority successfully passing. Additionally, readers become acquainted with the various hero academies across Japan.
Being subjected to bullying is a harrowing experience, and Midoriya has endured it for years. In this arc, he finally discovers the reasons behind Bakugo's relentless torment during their upbringing. Furthermore, Bakugo gains insight into the true essence of Midoriya's quirk, One For All. From this point onwards, Bakugo becomes fiercely protective of Midoriya and his hidden power.
3 Dark Hero Arc
Deku comes to the realization that carrying the weight of the entire world is no easy task, leading him down a path of darkness. Rather than seeking assistance or joining forces with his friends, he makes the decision to depart from U.A. High and single-handedly confront the rampant crimes transpiring across Japan.
Even amidst this bleak moment, Deku finds solace in the unwavering support of his friends and the backing of influential figures such as All Might, Endeavor, and Best Jeanist. As chaos ensues and the situation appears dire, a glimmer of hope emerges when they receive news of the arrival of America's top-ranked hero, who is coming to lend a helping hand.
2 Star And Stripe Arc
All For One's success reaches an alarming point, prompting a need for intervention. A new hero named Star and Stripe emerges from America, wielding an incredibly powerful quirk called New Order. All For One becomes fixated on obtaining this reality-altering ability. Meanwhile, Tomura, who has now merged with All For Now, employs his decay quirk to eliminate Star and Stripe and claim her New Order quirk.
Unfortunately, the plan doesn't go as intended. Star and Stripe's manipulations with the New Order quirk not only destroy parts of Tomura's own quirk, but also the New Order quirk itself. With Star and Stripe out of the picture, Japan loses the assistance of this foreign hero. Thankfully, the setback caused by Star and Stripe's quirk damage forces All For One to recalculate his plans. As Class 1-A prepares to confront Japan's greatest villain, All For One, they understand the importance of making the most of the time they have.
1 Paranormal Liberation War Arc
This arc was filled with intense action as the heroes launched an attack on the villains, only for things to quickly deteriorate. Pro-heroes were injured, some lost their lives, and the city descended into chaos. Amidst this turmoil, the students of Class 1-A and others put forth their best efforts to rescue the citizens.
Adding to the intensity, Tomura Shigaraki begins assimilating All For One's power and sets his sights on stealing Deku's One For All quirk. On top of that, readers are hit with the unexpected revelation that Dabi is actually Toya Todoroki, Endeavour's presumed deceased eldest son. Once again, this arc is bursting with significant events.
