How to Cook in Return to Moria

The Ultimate Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Cooking Handbook

The game "Return to Moria" offers players a sophisticated cooking system that includes a variety of cooking equipment, diverse meal recipes, and exclusive ingredients. Upon repairing and illuminating the Stone Hearth at their initial base, players gain the ability to prepare meals.

Cooking essentials involve a hearth and a meal table. The Build Menu offers two options for constructing Hearths.

To create a Stone Hearth, you will need 15 Coal, 18 Stone, and 20 Wood Scraps. However, if you prefer a simpler option, a Camp Hearth only requires 6 Stone, 6 Coal, and 10 Wood Scraps. When you place the fire on the ground, an orange grid appears, indicating the new base area where you can construct additional structures like a Meal Table. The Meal Table can be conveniently built right next to the hearth using only 10 wooden scraps. The Camp Hearth is ideal for players who need a fast and easy way to prepare meals while on the move.

To cook a meal, players can follow these instructions:

Approach the Hearth and press the “E” key to open the Craft Menu.

Navigate to the “Meals” tab. Here, players can find a list of all available meal recipes.

Click on the desired meal to view its requirements.

The player can prepare a meal by clicking on "Start Cooking" if they have collected all the required ingredients. After the cooking process is complete, the meal will be served on the Meal Table for the dwarves to savor.

Players can unlock new meal recipes and cooking stations, like a Roasting Pit, Stove, and Oven, as they progress to different regions of Moria. Each time a new cooking ingredient is found, a corresponding meal recipe will be unlocked for players to utilize. To easily access and keep track of all the cooking recipes, gamers can click the "Recipe List" button in the Crafting Menu.
