In celebration of National Mean Girls Day, Paramount has released the entire 2004 teen comedy film on TikTok. Fans can now enjoy the beloved movie on the official Mean Girls TikTok page, divided into 23 videos. These clips, varying in length from one to 10 minutes, encompass all the iconic moments and memorable quotes, including the Jingle Bell Rock dance scene and Cady's (Lindsay Lohan) famous line to Aaron (Jonathan Bennett), "It's October 3rd."
Mean Girls, written by Tina Fey, is available to stream on Paramount+ and can also be watched for free on YouTube with ads. The film follows Cady (Lohan, 37) as she navigates the world of high school cliques after moving from Africa to the U.S. She befriends social outcasts Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damian (Daniel Franzese), and together they hatch a plan to dismantle the school's most popular clique, The Plastics, made up of Regina (Rachel McAdams), Karen (Amanda Seyfried), and Gretchen (Lacey Chabert).
In addition to writing the film, Fey, 53, also stars as Ms. Norbury, while Amy Poehler plays Ms. George, Tim Meadows portrays Principal Duvall, Rajiv Surendra takes on the role of Kevin Gnapoor, and Ana Gasteyer and Neil Flynn appear as Cady's parents.
The National Mean Girls Day announcement not only included the release of the movie on TikTok but also revealed the official logo for the upcoming Mean Girls: The Musical film via the film's Instagram page. The announcement stated, "January 12 is going to be incredibly exciting! The new #MeanGirls movie will be coming to theaters soon."
The movie's musical adaptation will feature Reneé Rapp reprising her role as Regina, which she previously played in the Broadway show. Angourie Rice will take on the role of Cady, Auli'i Cravalho as Janis, Christopher Briney as Aaron, Avantika Vandanapu as Karen, Bebe Wood as Gretchen, Jaquel Spivey as Damian, and more.
Mean Girls: The Musical will make its premiere on London's West End in Spring 2024, marking its arrival six years after its Broadway debut.
The inspiration for the Mean Girls script came from Tina Fey's own high school experiences. Fueled by the book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman, Fey delved into the toxic and unnecessary behaviors she witnessed during that time. Reflecting on the film's 10th anniversary, Fey shared with The New York Times, "I revisited my own high school behaviors - futile, poisonous, bitter behaviors that served no purpose. Like the trap of someone complimenting another person's appearance, only to spin it into an accusation if they agree. That was an all too familiar bear trap in my school."

While fans have long been hopeful for a sequel, Fey jokingly mentioned in a 2018 interview with ET that the original cast's asking prices have become "too high" due to their success and accolades, such as Oscar nominations.
Chabert, who is now 41, has since introduced the film to her 7-year-old daughter, Julia, with her husband David Nehdar. "Even though she's only 5, one day I came home from work and my husband said, 'We watched a few scenes from it.' And I was like, 'Okay,'" Chabert shared during her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January 2022.
According to Chabert, her daughter struggled with distinguishing her from her character. "Mommy, I had no idea you were Gretchen Wieners. Were you aware that was your name?" she playfully quipped. "Even hearing that name come out of her mouth was incredibly amusing."
