Unicorns, those majestic creatures that made their debut in The Sims 3: Pets, have now become a mysterious presence in The Sims 4. Simmers are left wondering where they can find a Unicorn and if it's even possible to come across one while exploring the new World, Chestnut Ridge.
Fortunately, there is a way to obtain a Unicorn in The Sims 4, although it may not be as thrilling as players had hoped. Additionally, unlike in The Sims 3 where Unicorns possessed extraordinary abilities, the Unicorns in The Sims 4 sadly share similarities with regular Horses.

How To Create A Unicorn In CAS
The process of obtaining a Unicorn in The Sims 4 involves creating one within the Create-a-Sim (CAS) feature. In addition, the Horse Ranch expansion allows players to care for Horses as new pets. Interestingly, Unicorns do not have any specific dietary requirements and can be managed in the same way as regular Horses.
To transform a Horse into a Unicorn in CAS, click on the horse's head and choose the Horn option. Currently, there is only one type of horn available, but it comes in different colors. Once you select the horn, the horse will magically transform into a majestic Unicorn.
Fortunately, there are over 30 different breeds of horses available, ranging from the American Quarter Horse to the Welsh Cob. Players can select the breed they prefer and enhance its magical appeal by modifying the mane using the Coat Color & Pattern feature. This allows the horse to seamlessly blend in with the aesthetic of a Unicorn.
Other than the mane, Simmers can also customize the forelock, feathers, and tail by either coloring them or adding a small feature like a bow or a flower crown.
In addition to the Cats and Dogs feature in The Sims 4, players can utilize Paint Mode to customize a Unicorn in CAS. A specific Stencil can be used to apply a sparkles stamp, encompassing the entire body except for the legs.

However, unlike their counterparts in The Sims 3, Unicorns lack more distinctive abilities like blessing or cursing Sims, pets, and plants.
How To Breed Unicorns
Unicorns have the ability to breed with any other horse in a typical manner. In The Sims 4, a young Unicorn, known as a Foal Unicorn, will display a charming, compact horn that will grow larger as it reaches adulthood. While Elder Unicorns retain their horns, the luminosity of the horn may diminish slightly.
